That sideline catch Twill made against Seattle reminded me of the sideline catch Drew Pearson made in the playoffs vs Minn just prior to the Hail Mary. You can go to the 1:30 mark for the play. Everyone remembers the Hail Mary but Pearson's catch on the sidelines may have been the greatest pure catch he ever made especially considering the Cowboys were facing a 4th and 16 with the game on the line.

I agree, most forget that prior to the hailmary Drew big catch around the 50 gave Dallas a 1st down and kept the drive alive. They fail on that play the game is over.

Yeah, most forget that play the Hail Mary is the one etched in history but had it not been for Pearson's great sideline catch on 4th and 16 the Hail Mary would have never happened.

It's really eerie how the same team has nearly the exact same things happen decades later. Like the 49ers and The Catch 2 & 3.

You got it and Minn would have faced the Rams and I would have had SB tickets for Pitt vs Minn or LA thankfully Cowboys won vs Minn on the hail mary and then blewout the heavy favorite rams the following week and I ended up in Florida to see Dallas vs Pitt. :)

I'm sure you were excited to be there but it had to be painful to sit and watch them come up short. I was at SB XXVII in Pasadena paid a scalper $3800 for a couple of 20 yard line seats. I've never been so nervous watching a Cowboys game I almost puked just prior to kickoff. I just couldn't bare to see them lose in person in a SB especially after coughing all that cash up for what was only okay seats. Fortunately I didn't experience that nightmare.

True but it was a heck of a game. Our tickets put us in the middle of the Pitt fans. When Larry Cole knocked out Bradshaw I remember my mom hollering out "That is how you play football" Steeler fans were not to happy about the remark. lol

At the end of the game Steeler fans where cheering they won the game but many Cowboy fans where cheering they won the money since Dallas covered the betting line on the game.

It was one of the best football experiences I have ever had. We were there for a week and went to Fort Lauderdale to the Cowboys hotel and got to meet all the players and coach Landry as they were getting off the bus at their hotel. I got every autograph players and coaches.

By the way the face value on the ticket and what my dad paid. 30 dollars a ticket.

At least you still enjoyed yourself despite the loss. For me personally I would have been more devastated than I was when I watched the game at home. My poor dad was a wreck after that loss in SB X. He had just undergone hemorrhoid surgery a couple of days prior and was in excruciating pain. He couldn't sit he had to lean against our living room wall to watch the game and almost pit his fist through it when Swann caught that long TD pass that ended up winning the game for Pittsburgh. My experience at SB XXVII was a dream come true. Ten years earlier I sat in the Rose Bowl watching Washington beat Miami in SB XVII. I kept wishing that could have been the Cowboys and I'll be damned it happened a decade later.

I paid face value for the seats at SB XVII and they were 40 yard line seats. I showed up at the Rose Bowl for SB XXVII carrying 5K and would have taken endzone seats to get in. One scalper had a cigar box full of tickets and 20 yard line seats was the best he had or anyone had and I had to outbid 3 people. They were actually on the 18 1/2 yard line but they were in the upper part of the stadium. lol Even though I got screwed on those tickets it was the best $3800 I ever spent. :)

Even more people forget that if not for Preston Pearson not dropping a dumpoff pass that Staubach threw under extreme pressure on the first down play after the sideline catch, the Hail Mary wouldn't have happened, as time would have run out on the Cowboys.

I heard Drew talk about that game and he was upset for most of the game because he was not getting the ball thrown to him and did not realize until he said it but he only had 2 catches on the game, the big 1st down and the Hail Mary

Oh, how many years has M. Bryant been in the league? and he's already better than the bum. He's a true number 2.

I really like Martavis Bryant. IMO he should be the #2 but It's still Wheaton's job to lose.

What's it going to be then, eh?

It was Wheaton's job to lose all along because the Steelers knew Bryant was smoking. So they spent weeks preparing the propaganda.

He is without a doubt more talented than Wheaton.

Just a little game NFL teams play.

You are the only one hung up on the body catch, He has caught balls with his hands as well. You go on and on about Williams well Cowboys like him, he makes big plays great ability to run after catch. If you got a problem with Williams then it is you problem because the people who matter do not have a problem with him. So stew over him as much as you like. Every fan here knows who our #1 WR is (Dez Bryant) most have no problem with the job that Williams has done in the role he plays

You are right, if I have a problem with him, then its my problem.

I didn't quote you, you quoted me.

So you go ahead and stew over my opinion.

You should read how Pittsburgh beat writers pump up Wheaton so much. My eyes tell me Bryant is better than Wheaton. I guess he's kind of a head case though...

*sigh*, Dez has taken plays off and there are plenty of videos from 2011 to show this. Williams battled a hand injury and Beasley was coming along with the hot hand the second half of the season.

Again, he's a big play guy, he's a sideline catcher, and great after the catch. That doesn't make him a "bum". He is one of the biggest reasons we won both the Seahawks game and Detroit game last year. He also gave us a spark in the GB game that helped our offense get in sync.

The only bias here is yours. No one here who likes Williams is going to extremes. No one here is saying he's a pro-bowler, no one is saying he's better than Dez. You, however, are going to extremes by labeling him a "bum". That proves bias.

Yup I'm bias, and going to extremes.

Yeah that video proves nothing to me. Was that supposed to be the part where I changed my mind?

• TWill has some speed and is good in the open field, but I think he gets separation mostly from running superb routes.

• Michael Irvin was a "body catcher" too, all the way to the HoF, but anyone who can't see that Williams has been working hard on catching with his hands isn't paying much attention.

You're like the radio guy in Philly that claims Bradford is better than Romo.

Isn't that the 14 year old girl in your sig?

Lol I don't look at or ****s with 14 year olds. So I'm not sure who or what you been looking at.

I'm glad you can admit to it. And you asked for ONE video that proves he catches with his hands, I provided it, now that proves nothing? Moving the goal post again?

Your "opinion" is baseless. It's one thing to think Williams can be replaced, it's another to call him a bum. Do better with your arguments, you're coming off like a child.
