So what's the solution? Not criticize a player not playing well?

Some of you are way too sensitive.

Yeah they just want sweet music and that's all. You can't be realistic. Maybe we need a "safe zone" for the snowflakes to post in where they would never hear anything negative at all.

When his highlight play of the game is getting "close" to the QB when he is unblocked, that's serious reaching for some sunshine on a cloudy day.

How many plays did he get? The starters were playing pretty well so hard for a backup to get a ton of time. And he got on the field. That is better than many other games. It is smarter to get him time than it is to waste time on a vet like Mayowa who is not getting any better.....6 tackles all year and a guy like Moore who is not suddenly going to be anything more than he has been in his other stops.

The solution is to enjoy the victory Today.
And realize that he is a rookie. Maybe look at more than 2 cherry picked plays. Heck I bet you can find at least 10 plays where Demarcus Lawrence was taken out of the play or ended up on the ground.

At this point and with Irving and Dlaw playing so well I simply dont expect anything from Taco. Hes clearly not ready and he wont get many reps going forward. All we can hope is that he develops over the season and next offseason. Hes a project, that much is clear.

Pile on they should. He's struggling. That's pretty clear.
On the one hand, taco is just a rookie. On the other hand he has shown little else other than garden variety ineptness.
I am torn.
He needs two years of experience. After that, without improvement, he is just a Kavika.

You don't draft projects in the first round.

Taco "getting on the field" means nothing, really, if he doesn't show anything when he plays. Quite honestly, I wasn't a fan of the pick when it was made, and I figured he would struggle a little bit as a rookie. It's to be expected and it's the norm.

However if you would have told me he would have absolutely ZERO impact and not even really flash any sort of glimpse that he might eventually "make a hand" I wouldn't have guessed that at all. He has been a greater disappointment so far than I envisioned he would be.

As someone else stated, he was a late round pick, practically a high second round, give the guy some time.

A first round pick should show something. Something. To expect nothing from him is setting the bar far too low.

Lawrence was not great his rookie season either, though not as bad as Taco

he is in desperate need of 2 NFL offseason training programs imo

Good deflection. He needs some training and development.

Once he reshapes his body he will work out.

Or something.

Agreed. But we should be seeing steady improvement and a splash play here or there while he gets acclimated to the game.

Does he have a single splash play in 6 NFL games?

Hey. Give him time. You are being completely unreasonable.
