hey theebs or anyone who lives in texas, do they show some of the cowboys draft board every year?

I wonder if we would consider Phillips at #28 he is #3 on this list from the looks of it. I would throw my remote if we take Phillips. LoL

Interesting that this is all over other boards but in the grand scheme of things it means exactly zero in terms of the draft. I'm pretty sure everyone knows by now what positions Dallas is most likely looking at and the other teams are going to draft based on their own needs, not what Dallas might need. Unless, of course, they draft after us and are looking for the same thing, but again, that doesn't change much in terms of the actual draft plans of anyone.

I don't know much about Johnson, but I like that list. It's really interesting seeing Godfrey that high, but he seems like he'll be a pretty good prospect.

32 Teams in the NFL. Many teams get data from the same sources. I'm sure every team's draft board looks similar. For the most part, each one of us could come up our own draft boards and be pretty close.

Furthermore, who's draft board is it? Is it just one scout and his opinion? One scout's guess about another teams draft board?

I wouldn't make too much out of the supposed board in this picture. Although, I would be concerned about who took the picture.

My bad, looks like Porter might be #3 it hard to make out. Talib is clearly #5 though on that list.

It's not the draft board. They basically list players they are interested in and then assign the coaches and scouts to studying game film on them, compare notes, etc. The draft board usually isn't finalized until a day or two before the draft and even then they are likely to still fiddle with it and debate on players. So Tailib could easily be #1 on their draft board when all is said and done.

I thought rafael vela had cowboys connections and good sources. I have to question him after seeing what he said about the db board pictures. His sources must not be very good if they dont even know where that came from or he himself does not.

A story, or rather some photos are making the rounds and are making some wonder if the Cowboys’ draft board may have been inadvertently leaked to the public in a Dallas news video.



I spoke to a source who told me this is footage from the defensive coaches’ room and that the lists behind DC Brian Stewart are likely a coach’s or some defensive coaches’ rankings of players and are not those of the Dallas scouting staff.

In other words, this ain’t the board, folks. Not even close.

I saw a couple of people on another board saying how jerry blew and how they were embarrassed to be a fan of a team this stupid etc....

I wish I didnt post them, I should have followed what I thought and I probably wont make that mistake again!!

Naw, don't worry about it, theebs. The fact that, for instance, Cason wasn't in our top seven or so tells me that they either knew the board could be seen and accounted for that, or are so far from finishing the rankings that it doesn't matter.
