As we wait for the upcoming game against the Commanders, the bitter taste of the "collaspe" still lingers on. Post after Post debates what the problem is......scheme, talent, Jerry, coaches etc.... My simple take on it, the blame is all on the coaching staff....a total failure to do their job!! Think for a minute....Jones is responsible for filling out the roster, Garrett and Co. (the idiot and his village) deliver the scheme. We are 7-7...7 wins....with all of the injuries, more than normal...we still have 7 wins..all due to overall talent....the problem is coaching, as a staff they have screwed up at least 2-3 wins...last week proves Garrett is over his head, just think if we had someone with a clue....we are looking at trying to get 10 wins this year, even with our street dudes on Defense....the talent is there....yes some our under performing (Austin/Carter) ,some are also over acheiving (beasley/Selvie)....COACHES must GO!!!

The coaches are terrible. But the players are to blame too. We have seen many times where they are in position to make a play but do not.

And it's not the coaches fault that we cannot get any pressure from our front 4 on defense. Injuries are the reason for that, not coaching. It doesn't matter who you have in the secondary. If you can get consistent pressure from the front 4 you will be successful on defense. Exact opposite if you can't get pressure.

Bottom line though.... If Romo plays a decent game against Green Bay we score 50. He missed so many throws that would have resulted in points. Yeah, the coaching staff is stupid, but a lot of the calls resulted in plays to be made but we simply did not execute.

Nick Hayden. George Selvie. Ernie Sims. Kyle Wilber. Everette Brown. Jarius Wynn. Jeff Heath.

If you can't win with that, maybe coaching football just isn't for you.

You think we are a talented team? Maybe a couple positions but we surely lack depth and true talent in some much needed areas.

When, oh when, will we find the right combination of coaches to showcase all our talent?!

We didnt lose to Green Bay because of a lack of talent.................we lost to Green Bay due to "inexcusable game management", per Aikman................that is on coaching.

Congrats. You're capable of beating a bad Packers team without Aaron Rodgers at home.

Here's the whole point about the coaching / talent thing. As a fan or just a logical person in general, you cannot expect any player, any player (yes repeated on purpose) to catch every ball, make every block, juke every defender, complete every pass in every situation on every play. Megatron can't, Waters can't, Peterson can't, Manning can't. No player will be perfect. The job of the OC, DC and Head coaches is to put their players in the best position for success. Players are chess pieces and coaches need to understand the game, the previous moves played during the game and the impending moves that will give players the greatest chance of success. Picking on the offense only, Garrett and Callahan and even Romo to some extent have not done their jobs with the play calling throughout a game. They have abandoned the run consistently, game after game, which has put our players in a greater position to fail.

While players cannot be expected to be perfect, neither can a head coach. However, it is Garrett's consistent inability to do his primary job, which is to correct the play calling issues, if not in-game, then from game-to-game, so that he checks/balances Callahan's and Romo's tendency to call or audible into pass plays. This is his greatest point of failure and one that will define his legacy if he cannot get corrected very quickly.

Sorry to disagree; have you ever heard the old saying, "you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear?"

Its only like year 4............why are you guys so impatient?

After another 6 or 7 seasons, Garrett will have this game management thing worked out...........................LOL

Lol! Well by that time he probably will be stuck in his own way.

You would think an Ivy League education would be conducive to the belief in constant personal/professional development.

Instead of the Magnificent Seven, I think they might be the Insignificant Seven.
