Mickey was absolutely disgusted over the thought of Parnell starting lol. Even more then Broaddus.

Broaddus said that scouts wanted to see Orchard play standing up and said he did good, and will probably be looked at more as a OLB for a 3-4 team

Broaddus said all season that Marinelli was going to Tampa after the season. His answers to most questions are like answer from a magic 8-ball.

Everybody knows that Mickey is clueless.

Broaddus just said that the Cowboys might give Mark Ingram a 5M per year contract to replace Murray. Does anybody believe that?

Nick Eatman had a 2009 roster at the Cowboys Blue-White scrimmage and didn't even know that many of those players had been gone for several years as he continued to call out players by Jersey numbers. He thought one of the RBs was Keon Lattimore who had not been here since 2009. How can a guy that works for the team be that clueless.

When will people learn that these guys are clowns?

So much up in the air right now. Think @stasheroo may be right with Parnell to Was. I think Weems can serve as the swing tackle and they must like the vet T to compete there. Not sure we spend a draft pick on the OL unless someone injured falls. We can redshirt one or two guys although I'd prefer zero.

Can Weems be the swing? To me this scenario is scary, especially for a team with Super Bowl aspirations. IMO a swing tackle must be reliable and capable of at least being "average", we can't have the whole season dependent on both tackles remaining injury free,,, and I just haven't seen anything from Weems yet.

OL have said that all year but certain parnell fans in this forum refuse to admit it, rather saying they are being nice lol

The Cowboys sacks allowed per game was lower when Parnell started and their Yard Per Carry were higher.

I think the team screwed it up like they did with Gurode switching posistions every yr. Free played RT then switched to LT then back to RT. Gurode had the same struggles until they left him at one spot

Yeah, he seems to be a guy that takes a bit of time to adjust to a new position or a new scheme, for whatever reason. Moving him around was tough. Then he had a down year his first year incorporating the zone blocking stuff. But he's a very serviceable player who fits in with the position group, knows what he's doing, and wants to be here at a reasonable cost. I think we probably extend him in the offseason for another two years or so and kick the can down the road a bit as far as finding a long-term replacement.

At least, I hope we do. We have so many other questions that need answering this offseason. I don't want to be tinkering with our offense in the background while we're supposed to be fixing the defense.

Not sure how it works but I think he's into Tampa for about 10M this year guaranteed. Not sure about the number but it is substantial. If released I guess TB is on the hook so no trade. Not sure what he commands on the open market. Was his last two years good?

He is due 7 mil in more gauranteed money if hes on the team on the 3rd day of the league yr.

Free played how many more games, and how many more sacks?

And ill remind you that Cowboys had the most success running behind Free this yr. Free, then the middle then over Tyrons side. I posted about it with the link answering one of your posts but you didnt even respond. It had a link too. Hope you have fun rooting for Parnell blocking for alfred morris next yr

We were carrying a bunch of OT prospects this year for some reason or other. They must have a plan for some of them, otherwise, those were wasted roster spots. Weems, Hawkins, Hills. And Wetzel's still around on one of the reserve lists, isn't he? I think they've been working on that OT3 probably already, knowing they're going to lose one of their top 3 this off season.

Free has had one awful yr and that was 2012, but the whole OL was horrible. But everybody was piling up on Free, and even after having 2 very good yrs they still reference 2012. Tyron was just as bad that yr.

Dennis was the most vocal of the 4 that said Free wants to stay in Dallas. Saying its not about money anymore with him, he's made enough money. Its about where he calls home.

Free missed 40% of the games this season with injury (at age 31). That is something to consider if you want to make a big contract offer to him.

I'm talking about a per game basis. They averaged more Yards per Carry in the running game and had less sacks per game when Parnell started.

In the 2 games against the Giants, they ran right 6 times when Free was the starter and 18 times when Parnell was the starter.

Tryon wasn't "just as bad" and considering he was a 20 year rookie that should have been a junior in college, Smith played well. Free was terrible in 2012 because he was terrible, not because of the players around him. His biggest problem was power rushes directly at him (another reason he lead the NFL in penalties for a lineman that year) and that has nothing to do with the players around him.

He was awful in 2011 at LT. That's why they moved Tyron to the Left side despite objections by Free.

Yeah, that's my issue with resigning Free. Something was obviously going on there that wasn't immediately reported at the end of the season. It sounds like it was just bone spurs, which could readily be taken care of in the offseason, but if it's something different, or chronic, then we're probably also in the market for a RT. Let's hope we're not.

He missed because of a bad high ankle sprain. Lets not make it into something it wasnt.

What kind of clowns, specifically? Whiteface clowns? Hobos or Tramps with the sad faces? Or are they character clowns? :p

Im glad you posted that first picture of Parnell because that showed you just how much help Parnell got this yr. Right off the snap, Martin slides over to help on the DE with Parnell, and then goes to get the LBer, but then Clutts comes and helps Parnell contain the block. Thats 2 guys coming to help Parnell. But you talk about Free needing help. lol

Totally agree, hopefully there are no real health issues with Free. I keep reading stuff about drafting a RT but I think there is no question the RT next year is Free or Parnell. Either one would be fine going forward, but I've always thought Parnell had more upside and the market will dictate a higher salary for Free (and maybe higher than the team wants to pay).
