I'd like us to consider Hunt then Moore at DE. Not sure either will fall to our second pick. Cooper in the first and Hunt in the second would make me a happy guy.

I don't like Hunt at all. He is stiff and has horrible technique. He is a pure straight-line player and workout warrior. Then you add age into the picture, too.

Moore, OTOH, had a really good year against good competition. He is being downgraded because he had a bad workout. I'm not sure if the rumours of poor work ethic are true or not. He's definitely a guy I would be interested in in the 2nd round.

I know not many people have brought it up but I could easily justify going DL in the first and second round in this draft and then going OL and Safety with the next two picks.

Hunt does have a bit of trouble turning the corner and you may be right; he may never be able to do that. Hunt and Moore are faster and just as explosive as the other more highly ranked guys discounting the first one off the board of course. Look at their sacks and tackles. I have no problem ranking Moore over Hunt though. And I'd have no problem with your mock either. I think Thomas is a little too short but he's a player and fast.

Yes, Lane Johnson made Hunt look silly in the Senior Bowl. It was much different than the Bowl game where Hunt dominated a True-Freshman RT that was given the task of blocking him with no help.

Moore has some character issues or general issues with his mental-makeup. I'm not really clear on the specifics, but many reports are that he is basically a complete goof.

The one year wonder thing was used plenty with Mercilus last year-he ended up with six sacks in limited duty. I liked Mercilus, but in my opinion Carradine could and should be a better pro.

We're talking about a player who would have been a sure fire top twelve pick had he not got injured. Get him in the first and it would be a reasonable choice, take him in the second and Jerrah will pop a bottle of Dom after he makes the selection.

Having said that he probably goes somewhere in between.

If you could get Hunt and if you could teach him, then he might be a good project but I don't think I would like him in the 1st Rd. Moore, I just don't see anything much in Moore. I think he's an average player at the position and possibly below that in the NFL.

The guy nobody is talking about and some might say with good reason :laugh2: is Okafor. He's going to be there at 47 and he could play Strong Side DE.

Jenkins is another guy that could be somebody we could draft late and get huge dividends from. Before he was injured, he was hands down better then Werner or Tank. That's no joke. He was the most feared of the FSU DLs and he can bring it off the edge. If he can get healthy, he's a guy that we could really use.
