I talked about this in another thread but I will add it in this one.

With the last couple of months and or weeks leading up to the draft I listened to most of the Draft Shows on Dallascowboys.com.

When Brugler or Broaddus would talk about the Oklahoma defensive players they would talk about how they were hurt due to the scheme.

I take it they changed schemes a year or two back and some of the starters were not as productive or used to the best of their abilities as they were initially brought in to play a different scheme.
They talked about the DE and some of the LBs being hurt because the scheme did not allow them to be as good as they were prior.

Keep that in mind with Tapper. Maybe if they stayed with the same scheme he goes higher...maybe not.

I just remember a year or two ago he was seen as a better player than a fourth rounder in a draft.

Very smart player who reads 3 step drops for quick slants and gets his hands up. Nice swim move. Very nice pick

Im tired of gregory too. But i see your point. Give the rookies 1-2 years to see if they can play.

How do you tired of s guy that has played so little football? His off the field issues are a problem, but I don't think he has been healthy enough to show his potential .

Its unlikely,he has to first learn to play DE in the 4-3,imo he is better than Ryan Russell but i dont expect much from him this year.

Dallas does not give the rookies playing time like many other teams do. It seems like they wait too long before playing them in many cases.

I'll give him another year to show his skills. I was thrilled of his weight and size to begin with (225-230 is too small), then he had an injury, then he failed some drug tests, then he had 0 sacks. I guss the totality of all the issues coupled with non performance has me tired quickly on him.

But to be fair, I'm also tired of D street, Wilcox, Clutts, Free, T will - to an extent, T McClain, T Crawford- to an extent, the Cowboys offensive scheme, and some other players and issues.

So we let Hit Her go and drafted Tapper.

Progress.

Coaches couldn't control Hit Her. It is s Shane because Dallas has done took the PR hit and everything would be much smoother this year when it came to negative publicity. I think he could have been a better player this year too if he would have had an offseason with the team and he had knocked the rust off.

I hope they are forced to start playing the rookies more. At the very least, a few plays a game would help.

If he couldn't act right last year in his situation I would have no use for him.
