TE grades from Monday Night

Garrett even said that Romo probably should have thrown that ball higher.

As for the holding, I think we can see it was a pretty ticky tacky call.

I think other than his drop, he had a pretty good game.

Don't remember if it was a fade route, but he did catch a nice TD to help win a game against the Commanders....... back in '08 ;)

That was more of a go route from twenty yards out. Good memory though!

I think folks are focusing on Bennett's inability to come down with the ball in the end zone -- although clearly that wasn't Tony's best throw and the holding call (he did get jersey but it is hard to say the hold impacted the defender's chance to make a play). Otherwise, what I see is a guy who is pretty much what he was coming out of college - a nice blocker who is still working on the pass catching stuff

My issue is this: Has Bennett EVER caught that endzone fade route?

I doubt he has -- but I've never actually seen Romo throw a good one

Me either, I wonder how much they practice it. A more agile, strong receiver like Dez could probably have fought for that pass and won it, but with a TE (especially one with Bennett's hips and size), you gotta throw that up like a rebound and let him box out and go get it.
