Not sure how I feel about this. Isn't he our best run blocker?

there is room for a veteran cornerback, defensive tackle or offensive lineman now if they have one in mind.

That's two trades mentioned that have happened.

Kyle Wilbur for the trifecta?

several zoners were predicting this,i think its a good move as 5th TE wouldnt be active anyway.

Good news. Smith outplayed him and 4 TEs are plenty. Like the moves the FO is making to churn the bottom. Getting a 7th for a guy we picked up from the scrap heap is great

Wonder who they are going to bring in?

Wilber is definitely a tweener, don't think he fits the 4-3 scheme unless he can put on about 25 pounds and even at that, don't think he'd make a good defensive end

No he is a receiving tight end. Andre Smith is the blocker and has out played him through training camp. With Hanna and Escobar a blocker was necessary.

Thank you. I'm backing off the ledge... :)

well technically witten is the best blocker of the bunch.

I think the positive here no one will mention because they hate him is that escobar has showed he can handle the offense and he catches the ball. Andre Smith showed he can catch the ball as well as block.

that is two big positives for me. 4 tight ends who understand the offense and their roles and will allow us to play the way we want to.

last year at this time we had a banged up line with the tackles switching sides and basically john Phillips who was never the same after his knee surgery in 2010. We were trying to protect the center, right guard and right tackle position and had no real strength at tight end for a month.

this year is the total opposite. hopefully it leads to good things.

Hopefully another corner, not feeling too great about Webb as the only option as 4th CB. I was hoping an improvement over Weems as the swing Tackle too but I think CB is a little more important right now
