I remember Jerry talking a while back about building this team to beat the NFC East. Last year we went 5-`1 against the NFC East, losing to the Eagles by 2 points without Romo.

I think we're ideally suited right now to beat these teams, surprisingly I think we're most suited to beating the Eagles and their style of play.

I think without DeSean Jackson their quick strike offense isn't going to work well against our defense, and with our ball control style of offense, they aren't going to get many opportunities. I think their defense is going to really feel it when they play against this offensive line, being on the field all day. And our defense should be pretty well rested.

We have the 2nd best time of possession in the NFL and the Eagles have the 2nd worst...

I don't think the Giants have the talent to run with us.

And I think the Washington Football Team is in even worse shape than the Giants.

The Eagles will be competing with us with their offense.

Once VC returns we have him and OB to worry about vs the Giants

The Commanders look like they're going to hit rock botton this year and will be drafting top 5. I don't see them as a threat.

I don't get how the Eagles offense is as good as it is. Foles has been pretty bad this season.

They aren't that good, which is what I've been trying to say for a while now.

They have

10 passing touchdowns
4 rushing touchdowns

3 touchdowns on defense
1 kick return for touchdown
1 punt return for touchdown

So 14 offensive touchdowns, 5 touchdowns on special teams/defense...

To compare

We have

14 passing touchdowns
7 rushing touchdowns

1 touchdown on defense
0 returns on defense

Note that Philly has had a bye

But 14/6 x 7 = 16.3 compared to 21....

huge difference...

So we have 50% more offensive touchdowns than the Eagles. I knew their offense wasn't all that good but that's a surprising stat.

Really comes down to Romo not forcing anything and our special teams not giving up games. These two don't happen and we're going to win the vast majority of our games. I guess you can throw in Murray not fumbling, but I think with a certain amount of carries you're going to get a certain amount of fumbles, that being said, Murray has been getting that under wraps lately.

Not scared of Philly. I fear only the Packers and Niners in the NFC.

I'm not at all afraid of the 49ers. We have their number, it took one of Romo's worst games in the NFL for them to beat us. I don't think that will happen again, I relish playing them in the playoffs.

The teams in the NFC that I'm not comfortable playing would stop at Green Bay. I think Aaron Rodgers would have a field day with this defense the way it is right now. I'm glad we're not playing them this year.

That being said we will have to play Luck.

They have seven touchdowns on special teams and defense: you forgot the two blocked punt return TDs.

The team is built to win the conference.

We need Brent to help reduce the rushing avg by a yard and a half. Lawrence needs to convert on a sack a game and then all the pieces are there to make a serious run in the second half.

Only team in the NFC that scares me is Green Bay.

They are terrible stopping the run.

I think some of it has to do with the fact they are truly sucky against the run and some of it the fact that they have the #1 pass defense in the NFL and team would rather run.

A Cowboys - Packers playoff game would be fascinating.

They have 7 touchdowns on ST and D. That makes their Offense even more pathetic.

They get every bounce. Did last year too. But their luck is running out. Everyone will see.

NFC east has always been won on the line of scrimmage, either a dominating rush, or a dominating oline... in the times of superbowls..
both.... NFC has always been a rugged division in winning time.
