Who's the best QB in the NFC East?

It's Tony Romo.

Doesn't mean you make a change right now.

But it's absolutely Tony Romo.

Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion. However, we have a backup QB who has twice as many playoff wins as Romo. Depends on what we are using to define "best."

and Trent Dilfer has more rings than Dan Marino. By your absolutely moronic argument, Dilfer is better than Marino?

Marino has 8 playoff wins to Romo's 2. Pretty pathetic any way you choose to look at it. Mentioning Romo and Marino as a comparison is a complete insult to Marino. Let's don't go there.

Here's one way to measure how 'elite' Romo is - any QB who has made it to the Super Bowl in the last 12 years (duration of Romo's career) has at least as many playoff victories (and probably more) than Tony. Time to move on, Tony's had his chances.

Using Romo's most recent season as a guide, which again keep in mind NOW he is older, wrinkled, and more slow. Also, coming off another injury. At this point he would have 7 TDs, 11 INTs and 2 fumbles lost, zero rush TDs.

Dak so far, 7 TD, 1 INT, 2 fumbles lost, 3 rush TDs.

We can dive deeper into the stats if you guys want to. Better in what aspect exactly?

Yes.
All those listed in the OP are not saying Dak is better.
None are, actually.

But they all think with the roll Dallas is on and the way Dak is playing, there's no reason to go away from Dak. Upset the apple cart, so to speak.
In that way, they are on Dak train at this moment in time.
I get why they think that too.

Apparently Romo needs a perfect team to have postseason success. LOL.

Remember when the Aaron Rodgers led Packers team had 16 guys on the IR and they couldnt make the playo... oh wait, they won the Super Bowl.

I have learned one FACT about Romo fans. Most of them are full of excuses.

How about that one time when the Andrew Luck led Colts team didnt have their starting RB, TE, Offensive line and a horrible defense in their playoff game against the Chiefs, and the Chiefs scored 44 points. Poor Colts only scored... o wait, they won that game.

If Romo was in there for the Colts, they would have lost 44-3 and all the Romo homers would have blamed the defense for their loss and the fact that Romo didnt have their starting OL, RB, TE, etc.. .in there. Yet Luck, whos hasnt been in this league for 13 YEARS took over that game on offense and scored at will.

If Romo only had a HOF TE, two HOF WRs, a HOF RB, an O-line consisting of only hall of famers, a defense consisting of only HOF players, and a HOF HC... maybe, just maybe he would have more than 2 playoff wins!

Excuses, excuses.

If Romo were playing now and the Cowboys were at 3-3, Romo fans would be screaming Dez is hurt, Tyron Smith is hurt, Zeke started out of shape, etc... You get the picture.

except they would be 6-0 or 5-1, so your point is moot.

Same recipe now working that was in 2014. The one that they did not have in 2015 without a Zeke or Murray (or Romo or Dak)..or a D getting turnovers like in 2014 and 2016.

Dominant line, leagues best run game, QB playing very efficiently, getting leads, defense getting turnovers
Both 5-1 after 6 games.

it's a good thing

Why do so many Hall of Famers think otherwise? Who's opinion should we trust? Yours, or those who have actually played the game at a high level and succeeded. Btw, not a HOF, but also add Jay Novacek to the list of former Cowboys who think Dak should start.

You're not really listening to all these experts, are you? All you hear is the "stay with Prescott" )which I happen to agree with).

Not one of them has said because they believe Dak is the better quarterback of the two. Everyone of them is saying "don't mess with a good thing". Don't disrupt team chemistry. Don't jeopardize momentum. On Sunday night football, Tony Dungy said that almost word-for-word.

If this were earlier in the season – say week 3 - it wouldn't even be a question. Nobody would be saying he is a "better" quarterback than Tony Romo... or any other quarterback. It's just not a big enough sample size to make that proclamation. So, is six games are realistic sample size?

Given the situation as it is, it is enough to continue to ride the wave. But to declare that Prescott is "better" than anyone after only six games is foolish.

This is pure speculation. I speculate Romo would have given away at least 2 of those games with multiple game ending INTs.

Notice how great players make horrible coaches?

Listen to Charlie Casserly, Jimmy Johnson, etc.

And I didn't say I'd make a switch now. But if you want to make a deep playoff run, it will take Romo eventually.
