Ted Cottrell doesn’t believe Suh didn’t feel Rodgers’s leg

I'm usually pretty understanding, but this is pretty pathetic. Basically he said that since he is such a good player the NFL shouldn't suspend you even though your actions appear intentional towards injuring another player.

I can't even blame the NFL. It was an arbitrator. He will get blasted for this.

Is this the same arbitrator that rejected Peterson's appeal to be reinstated?

Correction -- Rodgers said he thought he popped his Achilles tendon when he went down while he was throwing that TD to Cobb. It wasn't from the Suh incident.
you are correct...thanks for pointing that out....i admit i knida skimmed through it

That's the reason that it was overturned  Shouldn't this be a lesson for Suh to learn that he can hurt his teammates with his dirty play. Instead they are letting him play and Suh will try more underhanded, sneaky dirty plays on other players. Getting suspended would be no one's fault but Suh's.

Of course the Lions and their fans want him to play they feel like he gives them a better chance and excuse what he does because he plays for their team.

Their team and fan base will get their dose of devastation with him on the field on Sunday.

Yessir they will.

Who cares about any of this anymore. Let him play. Sure he is dirty and he meant to do what he did on Sunday, but we have the players up front to deal with him and his antics.

We are going to line up and run it down his team's throat on Sunday. Might as well have him along to take his medicine with the rest of his teammates.

Since no one has said anything yet, where was this logic when it was Michael Irvin? He's a good player and we depended on him. To my knowledge Irvin didn't do anything to jeopardize the careers or health of any NFL player besides himself. But that may be apples and oranges since it was different regime so again where was this logic when Wade Wilson got suspended for 6 games. To my knowledge he did not do anything to jeopardize any NFL players. He was a quarterback's coach of the Cowboys and took a substance to see if it would help his diabetes and was suspended 6 games. Scandrick is another as mentioned before. It seems like there is a different standard on how to punish players depending on how good of a game they want to see on Sunday. Everyone knows that without Suh we destroy them with the ground game. they simply don't want to see a blow out so he's playing. Doesn't matter tho, cuz we're going to destroy them with the ground game anyway. Lacy ran for a 100 yards against that defense last week and he's no DMurray and that's not as good of an oline that we have.

I'm juts disappointed at the hypocrisy of the league. Peterson and Rice lose a whole season for abusing their respective loved ones. And I completely agree with that. What I don't agree with is the hard line stance that the league took with Rice and Peterson but they allow Suh to play when they acknowledge that he tried to hurt another player. In my mind that is just as horrible, but different, of a crime as abuse. Suh should receive the same punishment as Peterson and Rice. Peterson and Rice intentionally hurt someone off the field and lost a season. Suh intentionally tried to hurt someone on the field and gets a pretty strong finger wagging from the league.

Hypocritical and ridiculous

Like you analysis and agree with your logic, train of thought

Is this paragraph not one giant contradiction?

Cottrell says he doesn't buy he didn't step on him on purpose but that he doesn't think his intent was to injure. Was his intent to pleasure?

Shiatus by cleat i hear its all the rage. Rodgers should be thanking him.

I was willing to accept the previous reasoning of the "clean slate" clause.

But then this idiot comes out and says this?

This is completely stupid. I think I'm just more frustrated by the fact that it's just another one of those things that unbelievably goes against the Cowboys.

Bring on Suh. We'll stomp him out too.

So, he told them his feet were cold and he didn't feel what he was stepping on.

So, they're basically saying he's a liar and intentionally tried to injure someone. Here, have a lesser punishment. What in the freakin world is that?

Can we just crush these guys on Sunday and move on with our lives?

the ruling is ridiculous.

suh knew what he was doing.

he's done it before, and he'll do it again.

Knowing Dallas's luck Suh will end Romo's season with a knee into to the back.

The entire point of suspensions is to punish those guilty of incidents outside the scope of football. So of course any suspension will be detrimental to a team, since they will lose a player.

Cottrell just made it open season for any team to argue that losing a player will hurt the team, so the player should get a pass.

If Cottrell wanted to do away with the suspension, that's his thing. But the reasoning behind taking away the suspension is just utterly stupid.
