Eventually basketball will supersede baseball. The roids have destroyed baseball.

I don't know.

The NBA television rating have been sinking like a rock in quicksand, and the attendance is going south as well.

I read that something like 11 NBA teams are posting a loss this season, money-wise.

The problem with these sports is that they play so many games, the regular season games are nearly meaningless.

If we could somehow manage to get into the Super Bowl, we would be up in un-reachable status.

Wouldn't that require us to "1 up" the Steelers? I'm just sayin.

I heard the same thing about teams in the red but I don't know what to believe sometimes when it comes to the finances of these teams. The same ones singing poor are still signing players to astronomical contracts.

Now the T.V ratings thing is definitely black and white. But baseball was having ratings issues as well and have to sell the reputation of their own sport down the drain just to get some attention, i.e the A. Rod scenario.

You're right about these leagues having so many games that make half the regular season meaningless. The only good out of the 80 plus season games format is you can get some decent series rivals going on. Basketball has Lebron, Kobe and the draft meaning something going for it. Where baseball has to sell A. Rod, beat the roid rap and their draft is nowhere as impactful as the NFL and NBA's.

I'm not a basketball fan but the overall package in comparison to baseball is becoming more attractive. But the World Series is still a heck of a spectacle and that's what is keeping baseball in the graces.

Obviously not. The steelers are like 3rd on the list, this after winning the SB. We did not even make the play offs, we managed to at least win a play off game, they'd have to make 2 lists. 1 for us, 1 for the others.

Im actually shocked Green Bay is that high. I know they have alot of fans outside of Wisconsin, but damn.

They'll probably fall off next year once the Favre fever and A-Rod Pt. 2 interest cools off for good.

They are that high because of all the cheese they produce and people buy it....

Yep. The NBA's arrow is definitely pointing down.

Dallas needs to win a playoff game then they'll be worth the talk.
Being the most popular obviously has nothing to do with being worth the talk. The Dallas Cowboys have one helluva fanbase waiting for them to return to their rightful place. And they will. The fact that the Cowboys haven't won anything in a long time is proof that the "bandwagon" talk is bull. We are diehard and stick with our Boyz through the good times and bad.

I can't believe the Patiriots are ahead of the Raiders and Niners.

The Raiders are a fad and their popularity with gangs is even shrinking.

The Niners? You're kidding right? They've only been a force when they win. Beyond that, they are a bottom barrel team.

I love how both my favorite NFL and MLB team are in the top ten most famous, but neither performed poorly recently.

You're wrong about Oakland. Living in Chicago I can personally say that I've met a lot of Raiders fan. Their fans are extremely loyal and there's a lot of them. They're the most popular team along with the Boys and Steelers.
