How'd that season end again? Oh...right. for all the great plays Romo made, he was simply not good enough when it mattered most.

Ot here, why are pundicts saying the Rams beating Dallas would be " Shocking"? Would it really be a huge upset? Me thinks not.

Wow is that how it ended? I was totally combing my hair and missed the end.

Thanks for looking out.

It doesn't drive me nuts. I just don't understand it. But I do think it's funny though. What do you care about what I care anyways?

I don't care about what you care about. I do care about what I care about and what I cared for at the moment was to let you know how ridiculous you sound.

I just find it hard to look back on Romo's career without using " but". Had he won a SB, I could seperate spectacular plays with dissapointments.

I was actually at this game. Drove 8 hours to the game, watched the game, and immediately drove 8 hours home. One hell of a day but totally worth it.

I once went to a game like this: got up at 3 AM, drove 90 minutes to the airport. Flew from Cleveland to St. Louis, then St. Louis to Dallas. Took a cab from DFW to Texas Stadium. Watched the Cowboys beat the Giants on a field goal as timed expired. Cab back to DFW, flight to St. Louis, then on to Cleveland. Another 90 minute drive home. Got to bed at 3 AM. Went to work a few hours later.

Worth it.

What was ridiculous about what I said?

The fact that you felt the need to reply to people on here remembering Tony Romo and a particular play by sarcastically saying that the team has gotten over Romo but some fans haven't is ridiculous.

Does it bother you that much that fans like to talk about Romo and remember an insanely good play he made ten years ago to the point that you have to make a comment that has absolutely nothing to do about anything?

It was ridiculous in how it looked and how you wanted it to be perceived.

That's not quite how I remember it............I remember Romo throwing a perfect pass that Patrick Crayton dropped that would have been a TD and pulling up on another route that would have been another TD.

But don't let facts interrupt your agenda........carry on

I remember this wasn't a nationally televised game living in Charlotte, NC at the time. Went to Jocks and Jills... great game. Remember it vividly. That entire year was a fun ride until the brutal ending.

To answer your question yes it does bother me. 10 years later yes it still bothers me. I was invested in that season like I have been no other. As I said in another post, my fandom was never the same after that season. I lost 2 people close to me that year. Those cowboys games that season were all I had and I remember them like no other season.

That team seemed to have it all. And they had the most talented and gifted qb the cowboys have ever had leading them. We had a 1st round bye and home field advantage throughout. It was all setting up perfectly. And then the Giants came to town and kicked our ***. I'm not saying it was Romo's fault. I don't think Romo or anyone knew at the time that that was their best shot. That was their chance. In my opinion that was the best team he played on and his best chance of winning a super bowl.

So when I look back now and think about that season and what a wasted opportunity it was, frankly it pisses me off. It pisses me off that this play against the Rams is viewed as his "signature play". He should have had about a dozen more moments that signified what he was about. But 10 years later this is what we're left with. And I'm sorry but how can this not be viewed as fitting? I'm not trying to be negative. I'm not trying to steal anyone else's joy. But to me, this play signified his whole time here after that season. Lifting up the team from bad circumstance into something positive. We saw that all the time from him. They went 8-8, 8-8, 8-8, When they probably should have been 5-11, 5-11, 5-11. It was a wow, highlight reel play, that few could have made. And it was a 3 yard gain. And this is his "signature play" and what we talk about 10 years later. To me that is ridiculous. Not that we talk about it. But that's what gets remembered when it comes to Romo, this play against the Rams. I don't know why it's ridiculous to have expected more 10 years after the fact.

I get it. The original post was meant as a nice look back at a memorable play. So if you all want to remember that play in a positive way I salute you and commend you for it.
But what I went through that season, and how much I foolishly invested in that season as a way to deal with things in my personal life, I don't see it that way.

So if you want to think I'm ridiculous for remembering that season and play in more than just a casual look back 10 years later then go ahead. I'm sorry my viewpoint is different than yours and not up to your standard. To you my comment may be absolutely nothing to do about anything. It all meant way more to me than that I assure you.

Ten Years ago today Dallas played the Rams at Texas Stadium and Romo made his signature play. I can still sense the atmosphere from this day. The stadium was awesome and it was a great moment to be a part of.

also Jason Witten was on the Gameday program. It would have been a cool touch if the cowboys put Witten on the program tomorrow again but its Travis Frederick. Jason Witten is on the Eagles Program/Ticket this year.

So you are sad and miserable about a FOOTBALL GAME THAT OCCURED 10 YEARS AGO and you have nothing better to do than to come online and rain on other peoples parade for not being as miserable as you???

Think about that for a moment. What part of this whole reality is "sad" - is it REALLY that a meaningless football season in 2007 didn't turn out a certain way or is it maybe JUST MAYBE your particular state of mind about it all September 30, 2017?

Just to break it up with some fun facts:

Scott Linehan was the Head Coach of the Rams that year. The Rams finished 3-13 and followed that with a 2-14 record getting Linehan fired after a horrible 0-4 start. Romo must of left an impression with Linehan that day.

Ah what about getting demolished in Minnesota? Drops cost them the game? Was that the only reason for losing?
