Not sure I've seen a WR score so many long TDs on in-cutting routes. It's uncanny. He has an ability to glide laterally and accelerate to top speed in a few steps. Even in the giants game, he nearly broke one but the Safety got to him before he could turn upfield.

Yesterday's production is exactly what we'll need from him, minus the 1 drop. 4-5 catches 80 yards will suffice. Witten, Beasley, Dunbar and Escobar combined should give you 150+.

He is a really good player down the field.

What he isn't, at least not yet, is a guy who can consistently move the chains. Ideally a teams WR1 can do both.

Luckily the Cowboys have Witten, Beasley, etc who are capable in that department.

A 1,000 yard season would be nice from him. That kinda production would dumb some of the pain of losing Bryant for however long he is out

He's been very good on slants. He has ability but it looks like he's thinking too much when ball is in the air

Does Terrance really have more drops than the average receiver? He drops some but he more than makes up for it in my opinion. I know one thing, he has become one of my favorite Cowboys. I enjoy watching him in action.
No, he doesn't have more drops than the average receiver. I do have a perception that he (a) doesn't generate great separation, leading to a lot of contested passes and (b) doesn't make the difficult catches (where missing it isn't a "drop"), but I don't know how true that perception is compared to other receivers.

He might not drop more than the average receiver, but he drops too many. To watch him make some catches, like the one in Seattle last year, then drop a key first down when your team finally gets momentum, it's like a drive killing holding call. Frustrating....

Great post, I think Williams is going to have a great year and step up to fill the void left by DEZ !!!!

Needs to catch the ball better when it hits him in the hands. But if he can catch the ball more consistently then he can be a solid WR.

Most of what people are calling drops are actually good plays by defenders to get their hands on the ball.

His routes often take him into traffic. Even if he runs away from one defender he is often running towards another. I've seen him turn crossing routes up field to avoid a 2nd defender but causing him to lose his spacing from the primary defender.

I can agree with this.

We're spoiled by the phenom that is Dez. Dez is so strong in his hands that he can out-wrestle anyone for the ball. He makes it look easy, so when we see other guys not making those grabs, we get frustrated.
