He's been abused the last 2 weeks by a guy from the CFL (Breaux) and Malcolm Butler. Neither one of these guys are world beaters. They have been using press coverage to disrupt Williams and take him out of the game mentally. He gives up too easily. I thought we saw a spark late in the game against NO, when he was being abused, but managed to make a play, but that was clearly a fluke. This guy can't carry the load. He is drawing single teams and coming up empty, game in and game out, against inferior competition.

I would give him credit if he were facing Revis or Talib, but he can't beat former CFL players or undrafted RFAs at this point.

I wish I could disagree with you.

I had zero expectations of the guy. He is simply average at best.

Terrance is not the kind of receiver who can overcome the muggings that DBs are allowed to put on him. Some WRs can fight through it, but that just isn't his game. To his credit he got open on the 4th down play in the end zone but Weeden overthrew him. It would've been another 4th down 4th quarter score. I feel bad for Terrance. He is who he is - a 2nd receiver who can complement a beast on the other side, but right now there's no beast. Terrance can help a team at the NFL level, but not under these circumstances.

I'm not a Williams fan but I am not going to make the assumption that he isn't any good when he had to play with Checkdown Charlie the last 3 weeks. Watching on TV doesn't tell me if he was open and the Weeds never looked his way or if weeds didn't get the ball in like a real QB would.

He may not be Dez but if you put him on the Patriots I think the results may be a bit different.

With Romo the results were different. That's all the proof I need.

This describes nearly everyone on this team, particularly our right outside linebacker.

Remember the 'we should stumble over ourselves to extend him" thread a month ago.

He is at best a number two, and not a strong number two.

Where's the poster who said many NFL teams would be happy to have Williams as their #1 WR?

So you think our three best players Romo, Dez, and Lee are bums?

What do you think of Greg Hardy?

How about Randy Gregory?

I agree with you, but I don't think it's nearly as much about Dez as it is Tony, and to a slightly lesser degree, the Garrett offense. Manning took his team 80 yards straight down the field against SF tonight without his top three receivers (well, OBJ and his lame hammy came in for two plays) or an OL like we have in Dallas, and scored the winning TD in a little over a minute. Other than Harris, off the top of your head, can you name any of the WR Eli had with him on the field? I can't. Vereen (RB) did a lot of the damage and Donner (TE) scored the TD.

The argument I hear a lot from people defending Air Garrett is, look at the numbers Tony and the Boys have put up! And while it's true the the Cowboys have been pretty potent since Romo came to town, I have to wonder how a Romo-led offense coordinated by Mike McCarthy, Sean Peyton, Josh McDaniels or either Shanahan would have faired. My guess is, Mister Romo would be wearing a couple big fat rings by now.

Never said Romo and Dez are bums. Romo just doesn't have it in him to lead this team anywhere, he's just a good QB. That's fine, but we're the Cowboys. Not acceptable. I'm not expecting a WR to take a team to a championship. Dez is a good player though.

Anywhere? Has he not led us to four playoff appearances in his career? This despite not having all that much around him prior to last season. Do you think Marino is just a good quarterback because he never won a championship?

My grandmother used to leave butter out and keep it at room temperature. That always struck me as strange. I would think it would ruin if it weren't refrigerated?

Dan Marino at least GOT to a Superbowl and he was much better than Romo. Romo isn't even better than the majority of his peers. I'm not sure he's ever been the best QB in his own division.
