Quality of player dictates targets. If he was actually dominate. His targets would be higher if he was actually elite.
Dominant? Lol. Name a number 2 wr that's dominant. Williams is in the top half in the league of number 2 WRs.

Different players. Beasley was born to be a slot receiver. Williams is strictly a WR2 outside.

If Terrence wants a big payday, he will need to go elsewhere. There are probably a dozen guys in the draft as good or better than him. No need to pay him big money.

The Browns could use him. haha

So was Alvin Harper. Where was he when he left the Cowboys dominate offense? ie, His productivity was a product of his teammates being stacked against. Just like TWill. (Cowboys were #2 in the league in offense)

Look at the whole picture. Not just a single person's stats. They by themselves do not define how good a player actually is.

Harper left to be a number 1. Williams isn't a number 1 but if he went elsewhere as a two he'd be fine. If Philly drafts Corey Davis and signs Williams he'd produce nicely and probably be a pain in our butt occasionally

Look I'm not going to argue with you. You either get it or you don't. Harper wasn't even a decent #2. He had Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, and Jay Novacek to give him space to make plays. Take them away and he was out of a job in 2 years. (3 if you include 12 games with Washington and only 20 targets on 2 receptions)

Read, Elliot, Dez, and Witten today (edit, and lets not forget Beasley in the mix now too) Homie was gifted little to no coverage this season.

TWill pre Dez, Beasley, Elliot, and Witten, and without. Look at his catch percentage. 50s, then 72%.

Defenses ignored him for higher quality playmakers. He benefited. Yeah, low quality WR. Personal stats alone, do NOT tell the whole story.

Exactly, TWill is a #3 WR that Romo made into something, then Dak. Look at last year when Dez was out and TWill was our only outside WR, he did absolutely nothing when he had to go against the better CBs.

I don't see him being resigned, we can upgrade the position a lot without paying a lot more than it would take to resign him. Somebody will overpay him and I hope it isn't us. He would be a good #4 WR (Beasley is our #3) but he will get paid more by some other team to leave.

Lets hope 5-6 mil. That would make him viable in Dallas.

We pretty much let Murray walk before paying that.

I like Williams for what he is. I think ~$4.5/year is about as far as I'd go for him, and I think he gets offered more than that elsewhere.

I think if Romo was the starting QB, he'd be more valuable to the team. He really didn't click with Dak like Bease did past season.

I'd bring him back on a reasonable contract but I think teams like Philly will throw more money at him than what he is worth to us.

Until somebody can show me more than half the leagues #2s better than Williams this means nothing to me. And Dez, Witten and Beasley were there basically every game Williams played. I'm not (arguing) with you either, I'm just giving my perspective. I don't take this stuff that serious

Lowest pass attempt of anyone on that list.
Exactly what I was going to say. The attempts/catches his way is much lower than anyone else on that list. You got to get open TW, then you can make that claim; to be fair to him he's a #2, where everyone else was a #1 WR. Wouldn't go over 5-6/yr w SB included. We need new blood at WR either way and wouldn't hate a top 3 RDs selection even if, etc.

Cole Beasely was the only cowboy reciever in top 50, in total yards, #44 and total catches #28. # 36 in td's
Not even dez was in top 50 lol, he was #88 in catches, # 51 in yards but # 9 in td's with 8.

TW was # 48 in td's with 4, #76 in yds 594, # 97 in catches with 44, add in the blunder game 1, and the ball bouncing off his chest in playoffs, and he is
ordinary at best, I would go with a young guy in draft or FA, like maybe the cfl players, or the draft.
TW isnt worth the money to resign him.
His avg catches per game is 2.75, td's 1 every 4 games, 37 yds per game

he is no alvin harper lol, and to do better as a team we need a better # 2 and more out of the #1.

Who would be your number 2 going into next season?

Shocked if he doesn't return.

Me too. I think the team and the coaching staff will feel the same way. Our fan base who loves nothing more than to hate probably not so much. To me, keeping T Will and the continuity of the offense together is one of the most important aspects of the off season. Dak needs this group to stay together for his growth.

Twill isn't a bad receiver but his body catches worry me constantly. He dropped one against the packers too in the playoffs. That didn't help his stock with cowboys fans either
