Before Williams there was Laurent Robinson who had a better year than any year Williams has had in Dallas, and by a decent amount.

The value of borderline #2/#3 receivers isn't that great because these guys can be found all over the place.

That chart doesn't say anything about what Williams is worth. Minimum of 1500 routes ran? Would rather see how it looks with a minimum of 180 receptions. You could make a case that this chart shows that he struggles to get open. Fewest targets with 1500 routes ran.

Once again at the right price, there is something to be said for continuity and team chemistry, but even if we bring him back I think the number 2 outside receiver slot should be open for competition.

I'm not down on TWill in general but to me he is a guy that Romo made, like he made Laurent Robinson. Just like you say.

I don't see paying a lot of money for that kind of player when you can draft one or sign an aging vet who wants a SB ring at a much lower price.

Also I think signing a guy like Alshon Jeffrey or a similar player is the kind of move that could put the team over the top. Dak's game is intelligence and using all his weapons, if you give him another WR at the same level of Dez this offense would be completely unstoppable.

He had some amazing catches. But people will never forget the Giants game where he refused to run out of bounds.

Every player has limitations and not all players are looking at all possibilities

That was all on the coaches
The team should be practicing situational football and the coaches should have reminded the players of what they are supposed to do

They're gonna have to do something here. If you let TWILL walk, you have to sign a speedy vet or draft a WR early. Maybe they take a chance on a guy like Patterson in hopes of further developing him as a WR in addition to his return skills.

Just get a Ted gin Jr type for like 2-3 mill a year if Twill wants too much. Throw in an Anquan Boldin at 2 mill a year and you got two decent receivers for 4-5 mill a year. Easy peeeeeeasy

The club needs to find a way to sign a valuable and consistant non-prima dona player like Williams. Good Cowboy. Solid performer. Sign him,
