T.O. on Sirius

---------------------

"Sometimes I look in the mirror and I marvel at myself because God has really blessed me", the man is hilarious. He is one of the most sculpted athletes of all time and there is no denying that.

I love when he talks about how him and Jerry have become such good friends. They are both guys who love being the focal point of all the attention so why wouldn't they be great friends?

I also love how the relationship between him and Romo seems so open and honest. They seem to have a trust that he never had with McNabb and maybe that's part of his maturity as a person. All I know is that I used to hate this guy and now I look forward to his interviews and him playing every Sunday for my beloved Dallas Cowboys.

Oh yeah, someone has a fitness book coming out in September!

In 2006, I cringed every time T.O. gave an interview... you just couldn't trust that he'd say all the right things.

In 2008, I look forward to T.O.'s interviews and have no worries that he'll throw a current teammate/coach under the bus. A reflection of the remarkable turnaround the guy has made.

He's no longer a very, very angry man. And he has learned to turn baiting questions to his advantage. Much more in control. Yeah, he's turned it around. I really get disgusted with the media's advantage in turning on people. The art needs more discipline. Their power is too unbridled for them to treat it as a game and become punitive. I'm glad TO has learned how to handle it.

I'll buy his book too but I have a feeling that TO could eat potato chips and ice cream every meal and still be cut.

Would you listen to T.O. if he just says all the right things?

That's why I like the guy. He's different. He's not a robot. :starspin

Its funny... so much talk about how he changed...

The only things he changed:
  1. The team he plays for
  2. How he handles media and questions
  3. See #1 for reasons why things work NOW as opposed to before.
All he ever wanted was fair market value and to play for a winner full of trusting, competent people. Until now he hadnt had that.

YoMick, that means his behavior has changed. That's what we're referring to (or at least I was).

Any time there is behavioral change, there is a reason behind it.

The reasons for his change are what you described... the Cowboys are a good team, he trusts all facets of the organization (from the owner down to his teammates), and he feels appreciated.

Agreed. Its not as if he just learned and changed. Its a combo....Jerry and Cowboys are mostly responsible though.

I have little doubt that he would have blown up again if he went elsewhere. Its a good fit.

If you stop poking the dog with the sharp stick, .. he may quit growling at you and trying to bite everyone.

Show him affection and he may even begin to trust you and be your friend.

Amazing!
