Owens talked extensively with reporters for the first time during Cowboys minicamp. He said the atmosphere in the locker room under Wade Phillips is much more relaxed than it was with Bill Parcells. Owens revealed that he had been catching passes before minicamp and even before doctors had cleared him to do so following finger surgery. He also explained that his league-leading 17 drops last year could have been a result of him playing hurt since September.

Fantasy Source Spin: We're worried about how Owens will perform in a relaxed atmosphere, but then again, he was on the field catching passes before anyone thought he would be. The man remains a mystery, but he has a good point about playing hurt. If he's healthy this season, he could have an even bigger impact than last year. (George Winkler/SN)

Its a setup. TO is setting himself up.

I dont believe the finger had a whole lot to do with drops. He has a history of the dropsies. He will have his drops again this year.

If you look at some of the drops last year he was taking his eyes off the ball or turning to run before he got it..... OR... thinking about the endzone..... thinking about how he would celebrate.

I just hope he can be more of a game changer this year to counter the drops.

TO, such as he is, should never feel the thrill of hoisting a Lombardi. Both you and I know this to be true. He is an abomination to our sport that we hold so dearly.

When we win our next Lombardi, I won't care if TO is on our roster or not.

He's an egomaniac for sure, he's probably a jerk, he might even be a little crazy.

But to call him an abomination to football with what is going on in the league right now is just ignorant.

Same holds true for Danny Boy... that piece of garbage deserves every bad thing that could possibly befall him-- and more...
