You gotta be ready for a reverse or maybe even a fly pattern. just gives the opposing team another formation to practice against. who knows, it could just be a junk formation Parcells threw out there to consume valuable practice time of our future opponents.

...on offence only works if you throw him/give him the ball and he makes a play.

The defence won't be scared of anything that hasn't proven itself. More than anything else they will consider it a curiosity. What we need is for Newman to catch one and take it to the "house".

If that happens, watch the Safety shade over top of Newman and open more of the other side.

Wasn't sure if it was setting something up for later in today's game at the time, but since he wasn't back on offense, I'm assuming this is something we'll see once or twice in several more games this year. Today his only play was he faked a WR screen quick pass, while Bledsoe handed it off the opposite way, but the defense didnt seem to worried about him.
