I really hope this kid can contribute his rookie year. Too long has the long ball been missing in Dallas. We need that burner that can get the safeties back from the line of scrimmage.

I agree, but I think the subpar OLs had something to do with that.

Yea, that's true. But a good Center can make both guards better. Calling out blitz reads and such.

One thing I really don't like when watching his highlights is that he catches way too many passes with his body. It's like he doesn't trust his hands.

That was my eval of Michael Irvin when we drafted him. I was really disturbed at how many balls he caught in the gullet. After his injury, he learned to catch the ball with his hands and the rest is history...

Not comparing this kid with Irvin, but I can't believe he slid this far given his history... he's a straight up baller...

Good pick for us...

Jbell is right -- even Dooley mentioned that he lets the ball get to his body too often.

But look in his highlight tape... He makes some pretty unreal catches along the boundary that are caught with his hands only. So he does have the hands, the body catching is just a bad habit.

With Terrance Williams and Gavin Escobar Dallas just prolonged Jason Wittens Career, opened up the Defense for Dez Bryant then incorporated a 2 and 3 TE Offense.

JG's red zone offense has always sucked. I guess they are trying to take care of that this year with Escobar and Williams.

He just needs some coaching. He looks like a heck of a prospect to me.

Sneaky quick and has the size, good speed, and production.

Loving this pick.

He's going to be a beast once he learns to run crisp routes.

1800 yards receiving isn't yelling slow to me, sorry. One would think he can break away from defenders, which in fact, he can. Not sure if you read scouting report, watched him play, or even watched highlight tapes of the guy.

My guess is he's blind and has an IPhone as just reached out to Siri.

Really?

I don't see it and I'm a glass half full type

Freddy at 31

Escobar at 47

we are talking two full round reaches right there

Passed on Terron Armstead in the mid 3rd round?
Passed on Demontro Moore and John Jenkin for Wilcox in the 3rd ...and Phillip Thomas is till out there too?

None of these are bad players. I think most can contiribute eventually-and for top 3 round that is for sure expected.

I just think it has be a C- or D+ effort when we had B+ to A- staring us in the face.

You should really dig into the reasoning behind the picks instead of shooting from the hip.

He looks like the spitting image of Alvin Harper. 6'2". Long frame and arms. Strictly an outside the hashmark route runner. Great buildup speed and eats up space. Great on the jump ball. Explosive on the linear routes of the tree, but not real good stopping and coming back to the ball.

Next year is going to be a really good time to cut bait with Miles. He'll turn 30 next training camp, and those hammy issues aren't going to get any better after 30. Cowboys are going to be tight against the cap against next offseason and are going to need that cap space.

More like Irvin than Harper.

Disagree. Irvin ran a phenomenal 3 and 4 route. I don't see that ability to stop and come back to the ball in Williams video. Like Harper, he needs to be moving in linear routes down the field utilizing his build up speed.

Slow possession WR, No deep threat. Once again some Cowboy fans showing their ignorance. Do some research. This kid will be the real deal.

Frederick helps redzone offense probably more so than the others, to be honest. Our ability to run up the middle in the redzone has been embarrassing recently. Frederick will move the line.

I see more Jimmy Smith, but its early.

I like this pick, a year or two to grow into a starter.
I'm pretty sure he's expected to be a starter this season. 3rd WR is essentially a starter.
