Anyone else here this during the pregame show on the radio? Kristie scales does an interview with jerry everyweek called the owners box and she asked about glenn and he said there is chance he could return to practice this week and play in the carolina game.

I am sorry, I wasnt recordinga that point so i can pull it up, but I do remember him saying that and then brad and babe talking about it during the game. Just making sure I heard that right because I havent seen anyone else bring it up or any writers say anything about it yet.

I will see if I can find the audio where brad and babe were talking about it.

I'd love to have a semi-healthy Terry Glenn ready for the playoffs.

I just don't see it happening, however.

One can only imagine how much better we would've been with Glenn.

Sure hope its true, but Jerry's always been known to be super-optimistic. So I'm not too thrilled just yet. You'd have to imagine he'd have to get in to practice for a bit before we stuck him outin a game.

I'd prefer they hold him out until the bye week and unleash him on our poor sap of a divisional opponent.

I'm not holding my breath, he's been running for a few weeks now....

running, but not football running, doing routes, cutting, that sort of thing

Just read in the News zone that Glenn caught some passes this week. The article said he should be at practice on Wed. He won't play vs the Eagles though.

I'd still be surprised to see him on the field. And any impact he has will probably be minimal.

Glenn getting a little closer
When the Cowboys return to practice Wednesday, Terry Glenn should be there, but he will not play this week vs. Philadelphia.

According to owner and general manager Jerry Jones, Glenn began running routes Friday, catching 20 or so passes for the first time since undergoing surgery on his right knee in September.

"He looked good on Friday, and he looked good [Saturday]," Jones said. "That's looking up there."

well this is definitely great news if he can start practicing soon.

However, i still think it would be best to hold him out until the playoffs so he can get conditioned into football shape again...

plus, as it's been pointed out, our offense isn't broke

You gotta think that he must be showing signs of coming back for the playoffs or Jerry would have IR'd him by now and used the roster space.

The possibility Glenn could be ready to play against Carolina is a big change from Jerry's comments about a week ago. At that time Jerry mentioned it was possible that Glenn may not be available until the playoffs. Will keep my eyes and ears open to see if I can find the interview with Jerry but usually it's no available after the fact.

Personally I would like to see him in a game or 2 before the playoffs so he can get his game legs under himself and to get synced with the offense. Trotting him out after the playoff bye would make him as effective as a crayton as an every down receiver.

Did he ever say he wouldn't likely be available until the playoffs? I just remember him saying that once he starts running routes it wouldn't be long after until he plays.

I think if we were 9-4, he'd be playing next week. Or would have been playing this week or last.

if we can get him on the field in certain situations before the playoffs, that would be great. let him get the timing with Romo back again.

I would hate to see us lose a play off game because of some int of a pass meant for glenn because he and TR were not on the same page.
