Terry Glenn to possibly play vs. Carolina...

No disrespect to Glenn but Crayton and Hurd are actually playing at somewhat of a high level. I dont know if Glenn really could add anything that Crayton and Hurd can't (I am assuming Glenn wont have his normal top speed considering how long he was injured). If I am Garrett....the only adjustment I make is maybe bring Glenn in on 4 receiver set. Take Fasano out and turn Owens, Crayton, Hurd and Glenn and Witten loose. I dont know of any defense that could stop that or even slow it down.

Having Glenn back would be amazing. But I wouldn't bring him back for the first game in the post season. He has no timing with Romo right now while the other WRs do. He might actually be a liability because we don't know what he's like with that knee now and he hasn't played a game in a year.

But if he could return for the last couple of games or just one game and then build off of that for the post season that would be awesome.

Dude, as 2nd and 3rd receivers, Crayton and Hurd have combined for 770 yards. That's hardly at a high level.

That's on pace for 947 yards which is less than what Glenn had himself last year, and is about half of what Glenn and Crayton had combined last year

Glenn had himself last year

last year being the key word. Plus it is more difficult for defense to cover two guys who have shown over and over they can make the big catch rather than one.

Do you think they're going to wheel Glenn out in a wheelchair or something? If he plays, it'll be because he's healthy.

If Glenn comes back it may be as more of a decoy.... to take a DB deep and make teams keep a safety over the top

right now teams double cover (White)Witten
then (Chocolate)TO gets the catches

or

teams double cover (Chocolate)TO
then (White)Witten gets the catches

but with Glenn maybe we see a more productive duo in TO and Witten... we get the Complete White Chocolate package :D

I don't know about holding him off until the playoffs. I'd like to ease him back into a game before the playoffs. Too bad the cowboys don't do 4 or 5 wide like the Packers and the Cheats do. That would be a good way to get him back into the game and test him.

I just hope Glenn comes back when he is fully healthy like Ellis. And when he does, I hope he can get some snaps a week before our game whether it's the bye week or vs Car or DC

Imagine the NE D covering us in the SB with TO, Crayton, Glenn, Witten, and MBIII on the other side.

That's why you put him in before the playoffs to see. If Glenn has recovered, there might be a question as to our #1 is. I liked Glenn before he got injured, and he was better than TO then.

I'd love to have a semi-healthy Terry Glenn ready for the playoffs.

I just don't see it happening, however.

One can only imagine how much better we would've been with Glenn.

Can't really be much better than 12-1.

Get him warmed up during the last 2 games and go from there. Having another weapon on offense is a good thing! One more guy for the defense to worry about.

I also doubt that Glenn has top speed but I don't think that will stop his production. Part of Glenn's game is his exceptional route running and even at 90%, Glenn is still faster then Hurd and Crayton.

As long as Glenn can still go in and out of his breaks just as well he used to, he will be fine. His speed is only part of the deal.

Anyone else here this during the pregame show on the radio? Kristie scales does an interview with jerry everyweek called the owners box and she asked about glenn and he said there is chance he could return to practice this week and play in the carolina game.

I am sorry, I wasnt recordinga that point so i can pull it up, but I do remember him saying that and then brad and babe talking about it during the game. Just making sure I heard that right because I havent seen anyone else bring it up or any writers say anything about it yet.

I will see if I can find the audio where brad and babe were talking about it.

could be huge for our offense is he is healthy enough for 10-15 plays a game or so...would have a dramatic effect on how teams play us defensively if he shows he can beat man coverage, and especially if he shows that extra gear to get deep

Just read in the News zone that Glenn caught some passes this week. The article said he should be at practice on Wed. He won't play vs the Eagles though.

I'd still be surprised to see him on the field. And any impact he has will probably be minimal.

Still, it would be nice to see Romo hit Glenn on a fly route down the right sideline, just for nostalgia's sake.

If we had had GLenn on sunday the Lions could not have spent so much effort keeping TO covered; Glenn would have killed them. We need him for the playoffs.
