Why did he stop on that play? He was out in front of both the CB and the safety.

Funny, I just mentioned that play on another forum. He probably misjudged the corner's position thinking he was closer then he actually was. If he kept running he probably would have scored.

That's what I talking about, he would have scored. We scored anyway but he would have if he had kept running adding another 20 yards to his total and to my fantasy points.

I rewatched that play several times...Terry slowed down a bit and was only a couple of yards in front of the defender, who was in a full on sprint. He would have been caught and tackled anyway.

It looked like to me that his momentum was going to carry him out of bounds.I think that's why he stopped to correct himself.To gain more yards.

he somewhat misjudged the corner but that stop and go can make the corner miss and he can break it that way.

Yeah, that's what I figured also. Probably thought the Corner was closer than we was. He stopped, stutter stepped, hoping the Corner would run by him.
