Well they need two QBs, find the cloud of smoke and pull Carter out there to.

I heard earlier teams are grabbing whatever decent QB's are out there. The Cards are suppose to sign Davies and I heard the Titans will move Matt Mauck to the active roster after the Jets made contact with him. They are expected to sign Doug Johnson today and are bringing in Jesse Palmer and Jonathan Quinn today

The Jets reported yesterday they had no interest in VT. Maybe it was a ploy to keep the other 31 teams from offering him a lucrative deal:D

Another problem is going to be how they are going to pay for these guys

Well, that settles it. Under no circumstances does Bledsoe have permition to be injured this year. Maybe next year Drew.

Good for Vinny. It is amazing what he can still do at his age. Jets are screwed though.

NEW YORK - Vinny Testaverde, who spent some of his best NFL seasons with the New York Jets, is set to rejoin the team to replace Chad Pennington, lost for the season with a shoulder injury.

The agreement was confirmed to The Associated Press on Tuesday by a person with knowledge of the deal, but who declined to be identified.

The Jets are desperate for a veteran quarterback with the loss of Pennington, and his backup, Jay Fielder, who also injured his shoulder after replacing Pennington in Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Brooks Bollinger, in his third season, was expected to start for the Jets in Sunday's game against Baltimore.

Testaverde, who started for Dallas last season, was at the Jets' training complex Tuesday morning for a physical. He was unsigned when this season began.

The agreement was first reported by Newsday on its Web site.

Testaverde, who turns 42 in two months, grew up a few miles from the Jets complex, and was with the team from 1998 through 2003, leading them to the AFC title game in 1998.

The first overall pick in the 1987 draft by Tampa Bay, he has played 18 seasons in the NFL with the Bucs, Cleveland/Baltimore, the Jets and the Cowboys. He is sixth on the NFL's career list of passers with 44,476 yards.

well if he signs 4 games into the season his arm may make it to week 12. Hopefully by then someone else will take over and Herm won't stick with Vinny "because he gives us the best chance to win"

Vinny, take a hint from Jerry Rice...retire and STAY retired

I'm rooting for Vinny all the way. The guy is a physical marvel, almost 42 and playing in the NFL, in the AFC East, no less. WOW

I hope we play him in the Big Dance.
