If this goes down, someone needs to make a pic of a headstone reading.

That is just crazy!! Atlanta is nuts if they even consider that! Houston on the other hand would be nuts not to pull the trigger. They could get Manziel at 6 then give him weapons galore for the next three years. No brainer!

Houston HAS to ask for the moon. Whether they get it or not is another story but they have to ask for it with the number one overall pick.

They start high, the falcons start low...maybe they work something out in the middle.

The block buster trades are hardly ever worth it. It hasn't worked out for the Commanders so far, Ditka traded his entire draft for Ricky Williams, and of course the Vikings thought they were one player away with the Jimmy Johnson Walker trade.

Can't give up that much for a DE. Doesn't make sense for your franchise. Do the Falcons really think they are 1 defensive player away from being a super bowl contender?

Especially the number of times they pass the ball and the number of times their QB gets hit.
They could use a good OT and could get one if they stay put or trade down a tad, still get an OT and possibly a DE later.

Does anyone think that Clowney is better than both Matt Ryan AND Julio Jones combined? That's the statement that Atlanta would be making giving that up for one player. I'm NEVER a fan of giving up multiple year 1st round picks UNLESS you're the defending Super Bowl champs and appear to be set for years to come.

Seeing how I'm not Texan fan I hope the deal falls through. If the rumor of Houston wanting to swap 1st this year(Alt 6th overall )and get a 2nd this year as well as the 1st next year then They become big winners in this deal and likely still get the player they want.

If the Falcons gave up 3 - 1st and a 2nd everyone in their front office should have to wear a sign for a week that says "We failed at the draft".

Agree.

But I think we all know that there's no way Atlanta's FO is as stupid as Washington's.

Atlanta badly needs a Left Tackle (Ryan is getting killed) as well as pass rush help.
This draft is set up perfectly for them.
They could stay put and get one of the stud LTs and then use that high 2nd rounder on a pass rusher...and keep those 1st rounders in 2015 and 2016.
