Especially the number of times they pass the ball and the number of times their QB gets hit.
They could use a good OT and could get one if they stay put or trade down a tad, still get an OT and possibly a DE later.

Exactly. Stay put and pick up either Matthews or Lewan to protect your $100M QB and then they could still grab a pass rusher like Lawrence, Attaochu, or Marcus Smith in the 2nd.
But oh well, let them mortgage their future for Clowney. 1 less contender in the nfc as far as I'm concerned.

Does anyone think that Clowney is better than both Matt Ryan AND Julio Jones combined? That's the statement that Atlanta would be making giving that up for one player. I'm NEVER a fan of giving up multiple year 1st round picks UNLESS you're the defending Super Bowl champs and appear to be set for years to come.
I wouldn't make the trade but that is not really what they are saying.

They are probably thinking those future 1st rounders will be low ones. I still wouldn't do it though.

Plus the present value of a 2016 1st is approx. a 2014 3rd.
