Man this kid looked good in preseason. We should take a look. Apparently he violated some team rules.

He's been in trouble since he was at Notre Dame. He ran for 1,100 yards his Junior year only to be benched the first 2 games of 2012 for violating team rules which ended up costing him his starting job. He has a ton of talent, but seems to be a knuckle head. He's better then Dunbar and Tanner though.

Plenty of recently cut Texans players have found success on other teams.

I'd be interested in Montgomery

Montgomery is who we should look into. I'm intrigued. He was a very good player at LSU, playing along side Michael brockers. Idk what kind of person he is though.

If Montgomery didn't have the issues in college I would be all for him, but he seems like hes one of those guys that will just never get it. Waste of talent. And this is coming from a guy who is always saying we shouldn't be afraid to draft the guys with red flags.

Cierre Wood is interesting though. Although I'll admit that I'm not as familiar with him and his problems.

OK, lets be serious. We don't know exactly what the offense is and if it's drug related, I am not in favor of bringing him in with at least 1 strike against him.

if its weed then he's just doing what 75% of the league does.

Yes, but most know how not to get caught. If a player is too dumb to not draw attention to himself with regard to his weed smoking, then he is too dumb to make it in the NFL.

ugh i hate that term. rkg got us matt johnson and danny coale. lets be serious about addressing this running back issue. cierre woods ran all over us in our preseason game. cowboys need to stop with the rkg nonsense and just worry about getting talent. if the coaching leadership and player leadership is good then he will fit right in.

You mean the RKG plan got us two talented players with no collegiate history of injuries, but who've been hit by the injury bug since coming to the pros? That's crystal ball thinking there.

This is all so needless.

Randle played well yesterday, and Dunbar and Murray are about to return. What is the problem at running back?

I doubt Montgomery even makes it past waivers. Woods probably will, and Jefferson almost certainly will, but we don't need them.

75% or not, the NFL has him for at least 1 offense. Doesn't matter what you think of the practice, what matters is how close is he to actually being off the field? That's the problem.

Randle played well yesterday? I think he was maybe average at best.

If your choice is a lucrative career playing NFL football or ingesting a product that the NFL tests for and can take away that career, then you are an idiot for smoking dope.

It doesn't matter if "everyone does it" or it's cool with the voting public. If weed is more important than your career, teammates, and family you have a drug problem.

He did well each time he had a hole to hit, and he made some nice catches out of the backfield for good yardage. He outgained Shady McCoy.

It was his SECOND game in pro football.

Why not take a look at Woods and Montgomery? Could you imagine our boards going crazy of we cut out 3rd round pick from THIS draft? lol

As far as the right kind of guy... didn't we just sign Marvin Austin who had his share of problems?
