Hodge was not much of a quarterback himself, a bit like Bobby Hebert calling out Jim Everett, they were both Saints for crying out loud and they quarterbacked awful teams.

Hodge makes Steeler fans relish the Kordell Stewart days in comparison to what he accomplished.

Hoge was actually a running back, but your point is still noted. I don't understand why ESPN hires these blowhards like Hoge and Salisbury who had lackluster NFL careers to pretend like they're experts.

Hoge only played 7 seasons, granted his career was cut short by concussions but that doesn't give him any right to grill other players, especially a guy like Vince who is 6-4 as a rookie. Salisbury is an even bigger joke from the University of Spoiled Children(USC), who over an 8 year career only accumulated 3800 passing yards, 19 TDs and 19 ints yet thinks he's God's gift to NFL quarterbacking.

Is that Hoge or HeavyHitta? I can't tell sometimes because they use the same logic and one of them has taken too many shots to the head.

I love how during the pre-draft, he had a clip of VY against OU from 2004 when his passing game was nothing and claimed VY could not read defenses. Since them, VY and other "experts" have pointed out that Vince actually did the correct thing on the video that Hoge used.

The guys is just another BSPN waste of time.

You're right, I got him confused for a second with that other STeeler quarterback that failed who is now on ESPN Mark Malone, Hoge was the failure of a runningback.

Relating to the post I think VY will grow into a great QB the more he plays. He has all the tools and just has the determination to win.

I miss him so bad and wished he had stayed for his Senior year at UT. :( We would definitely be playing for another title.

I was watching ESPN Classic today and they replayed the 2005 Rose Bowl when Texas beat Michigan. Texas was down 31-21 going into the 4th quarter and VY led the horns down the field 3 straight times to score and literally won the game by himself. Everyone remembers the MNC game when they think of Vince but most don't realize he was at his best when the game was on the line. Just look at the Oklahoma State game from last year.

In a battle of wits between Vince Young and Merrill Hodge, I gotta take Hodge

Of course, I'd take anything with a pulse over Radio

How anyone can make such a conclusion for a rookie QB whose flashed promise and led a team to at least two comeback victories is beyond me.

Don't hate a successful quarterback, we all know that Reggie McNeal stunk it up despite the Aggie hype, he was contained by Baylor for heaven's sake. Now he's in jail which was disappointing even for him.

Which is why McNeal was converted to a WR by the Bengals. :p:

HH is just mad that the aggys will never be able to acquire a talent the likes of VY.

This has nothing to do with Reggie McNeal and everything to do with Radio throwing like a 5 year old girl:
