Texas teen gives police officer parking ticket

Annie James, a 14-year-old from Baytown, Tex., issued a handwritten $10 parking ticket to Officer Tommy King, whose patrol car was parked in a fire zone in the Bay Oaks apartment complex.

"I came to my car and I saw a piece of paper on my windshield," King said. "I took it off and opened it and read it and I started laughing immediately."

The "ticket" informed King he needed to pay $10 to the manager of the apartment complex. Not only did the officer pay the fine — he gave Annie a $40 gift card to Toys R Us.

I love it when they go so slow that they cause traffic to backup, because people are too afraid to go around them. Grrr..

I actually saw a patrol car with a LEFT TURN BLINKER ON yesterday at an intersection!! I was STUNNED.

WHAT? An Officer of the Law actually abiding by traffic laws!?

I've never heard of such a thing. I wished I had had my video recorder to capture the event. Because I KNOW nobody will ever believe me.

I notice that as well. I have no problem passing them up as long as I am doing the speed limit but some will not go past that patrol car.

I work around so many cops that I don't think much about it. For the most part most of them are good people, there are few that got into law enforcement for the wrong reason I agree have no business carrying a badge.

I beleive when citizens see fellow good police break the blue line, they will feel that those bad apples are actually held accountable. Right now, not so much.
