I admit, I was nervous as he dropped. This should tell us Jerry really does not run the show. If he did, then he would have drafted him,. Whew...glad he is in Cleveland.
You won't get a lot of responses to this one! I am right there with you...but I've been saying it for a while -- Jerry ain't running this team.

10. Drafting an offensive lineman gives Romo the crucial time he needs to decide exactly where to throw a backbreaking interception.
I was not nervous but I was hoping that the Cowboys would take Martin only to prove that they were still in it for the present and not the future. Drafting JF would have been a future move and a Jerry-type flashy move. Martin was the best player on the board so that could be credited to McClay for now. Let's see what McClay can do today and tomorrow, though, before deciding who is actually in charge of this draft.
I wanted Johnny but still he ended up in a good situation, Cleveland has a legitimate elite defense, offensive line, and receiving targets.

The Cowboys were also one of the only teams who's pick didn't leak early.
The one thing I can't stand is when the pick is bad then it was Jerry who had all the control but when it's a safe, smart pick it was McClay. Give the man a tiny bit of credit lol
