I know in the past we have had great camp reports.

Maybe it is just me and what seems to have been a very long offseason, but I just do not remember getting so many good reports from members of the zone like this year.

I think we also made enough stink last year and this offseason about why reporters don't report more about stuff we want to hear about.

I think the reporters are not really allowed to write about these things in the articles as they probably have assignments handed to them.

However I think they have worked around that issue by writing some of the stuff on their blogs this season.

So for the zoners giving some great reports and pictures. For zones convincing some reporters to report more in their blogs.

definately, bp. hell, i'm getting confused as to who are the "pro" writers vs. just the good ones that detail it out from their own camp visits. : ) (well, sorta). but it's good to hear the "unpolished" views in as much as the pro's and that's why it's so good to have such a popular board where people want to post their thoughts on the practices.

Agreed.

Not only do you get the no nonsense, without the fluff, reports from posters...but you also got some good human insight (not fluff about TO) from posters like Percy_Howard about his son and wife.

Just really good this year.

Maybe I'm just burned out on the snide remark angle stories. Maybe I just enjoy actual commentary about what the team is practicing. I don't know what it is, but I find myself reading the membership recaps over and over and skimming the media articles in disgust.

Is anyone feeling the same?

At least as much, and maybe even more. Our amateur writers seem to post more detail, as they don't have to worry about snooty little editors sitting in an office whittling away at their writings.

Not only that, but their posts are information driven. The stories are okay, but it's information we've been starving for.

Yes the posts on here and the information included have been outstanding.

I have seen more info and insight on here than The Ticket. And they are the Cowboys' station. But yet it seems they gone out of their way not to talk football. I don't care about Barry Bonds and Growth hormones, or Landis and his tetesterone levels, or George's Hollywood concert he went to. Or 50 segments of the Rangers trade.

So yes this is far better source of GOOD info.
