So you think these are bad moves?
On their face........ getting a good WR and crap canning a failing OL coach? Nah, not bad.
But it's hard to give them credit when put in the context of the last 8 months or so. It's hard to give one credit for firing an OL coach that you hired 8 months ago. That shows a flawed process that led you to hiring him in the first place given in 8 months you realized he's not the right fit.
And 5 months ago, Stephen Jones was quoted and very vocal about the fact that they don't need a #1 WR, that teams win SBs without #1 WRs and then all of sudden, we need one so desperately we give up a first rounder for a WR that while talented, also has some risks with him.
People can try and ignore the context, but that's foolish. So I can see why people don't really want to give the front office credit for the last week, because in reality, the last week just puts in giant neon lights that part of their offseason plan was a failure.
And this is a recurring problem with the team's leadership.
