Thanks Rod

When Travis Frederick is blowing open holes allowing Murray to rush for 150+ yards tomorrow and Terrance Williams catches 1 of Tony’s 4 TD passes, keep in mind why these guys are on the team. Two years ago, the Cowboys were poised to give their new defensive line coach a present by using their 1st round draft pick on Sharrif Floyd. But instead of accepting the help for his line, Rod Marinelli overruled the scouts and said that he didn’t need or want Floyd (because he wasn't "quick twitch enough" for his system). As a result, the Cowboys traded down with the 49ers and used the picks on Frederick and Williams. The offense as well as the defense owes a lot to Rod. In Rod I trust!

And thats why " In Rod We Trust " :):)

Is this gospel now? All I remember about that is jerry saying he wasn't quick twitch and being killed for it.

And to think, some stand by Jerry talk is all mush.

The Cowboys ignored the position in the draft despite Florida’s Sharrif Floyd, ranked fifth overall on their board, falling into their laps at No. 18. Jerry Jones valued the opinions of new defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin and defensive line coach Rod Marinelli -- who didn’t think Floyd was “quick-twitch” enough to excel in their scheme -- over those of the scouts.
