Hale fellows and recent parolees:

Interesting, that Drew Brees feller. A Texan with a rifle arm and leadership abilities.
Tonight he was very good against a very bad team.
Still . . .
:write:

While we all go about in a trance-like stupor in the glow of 12-1, we should take a while to ponder the talent out there that could be coming in to Texas Stadium during the playoffs. Farve, Brees, maybe a rejuvenated Warner of Ariz. Anything's possible.
But back to Brees: 328 yards, three TDS and several long scoring drives that slowly crushed the Falcons
With Colston and Patten he looked superb. That that was without Bush and McAllister.
Great game for the native Texan.

Thank god for a QB like Romo that can bring Cowboy teams back, because any number of QBs like Brees could carve up the 'Boys defense again.
And if the offense falters for any reason, no one's gonna bail out the defense like usual.

All i want from Wade is word that he's gonna start taking more of an active role in the defense and, if not, who the heck is going to kick ash and will the defense to do what it is paid to do.

God Bless America and deliver us from the feeble defense of Sunday past. Amen. And god, punish all enemies of the Cowboys and darken their fields with locust.

Funny how quickly some people forget how the defense bailed out Tony Romo in the Buffalo game.

As for Brees and Warner... they gotta make it 1st.

Yes, I am.

I actually have an alarm that notifies me every time you post.

And if you must know, part of my income involves me being active on the internet. So sure, I am online for a few hours at a time throughout the course of a day.

Oh and as the the Bills comment... Brees beat up a Falcon team. WOW!!!!

Taking nothing away from Drew Brees, but he did that against a 3-10 Falcons team that is 3rd worst in the league in sacking the quarterback. They've generated a whopping 19 sacks in 13 games!

To my knowledge, the phrase 'rifle arm' has never been applied to Drew Brees.:D

talk about a post generated by either booze or pot.
Brees has NEVER had a top arm- not even close.
He looked good against a Facon team that A) SUCKS
and B) had just seen Vick get sentenced to prison.

Noodle arm perhaps?

Brees can out throw Romo....

Cool Brees might not have a gun but to say Noodle arm is ridiculous. Especially when our QB has an average NFL arm on his best day.

Lets let all these chumps fight each other to make it into the tourney and beat each other senseless in the wild card round.

Really? Have you stood at one end of a regulation size football field and taken an accurate measurement of both guys throwing the football? Romo's arm, from the looks of it on television, is just as powerful as Drew Brees'.

Bottom line, it really doesn't matter. Both have enough arm strength to make all the throws an NFL QB should make.

Is there anyone on this forum who knows about arm strength and who has been around college quarterbacks who can verify this claim? I have heard this before but there seems to be no real definitive answer.

He who said that Brees can outthrow Romo, and that the latter has an average arm at best doesn't know what he's talking about.

Fact: BP said that Romo can make all the throws when he is set. He can't make them when he's not, but neither can most QBs outside of Favre and a few others.

A quicker release is more important than a stronger arm since 90% of throws are within 30 yards.
