Just some stuff from the NY Giants forums.....

how can Romo be this good- its unbelievable : sufibb : 11/23/06 10:13 PM
I hate the cowboys more than the next guy but this romo guy is just too good. my concern is that we may have another tom brady in the making and a segway into another cowboy dynasty. this romo guy comes out of nowhere and now he is the best quarterback in the league. this does not make me happy one bit

and don't give me this crap of "romo will slow down when the oppossing defensive coordinators get more game film of him so they will know what to study and how to game prep effectively for romo". that doesn't even make sense because with each game he is getting more experiencing and proving he is the real deal. I am seriously very distraught and concerned that this cowboy team will win the division and a first round by. I hate to say this but this is the best cowboy team since their superbowl years and this just has me in a very down mood.

The best QB in the NFL? : StealingSociety : 11/23/06 10:39 PM
Don't tell that to Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Donovan McNabb. You have to have more than 5 good games to be the best QB in the league. That's almost as absurd as Irvin crying that Young didn't put him in his Top 5 after 1 game. Sorry most ridiculous thing to say ever. Oh and yes he worries me, but you lost any credibility you had by saying that he's the best QB in the league.

who said that he was the best qb : JayD : 11/23/06 10:40 PM
in the league?

he's not the best : Rem66 : 11/23/06 10:41 PM
but he is palying a hell of a lot better than eli

mrvax nails the real question here about Romo : montanagiant : 11/23/06 10:48 PM

If our scouting staff was so bad to miss this kid, IF HE WAS as good as what some of you are crowning him as, then what does that say about the Cowboys for making him wait so long?
This kid is shocking Parcells every bit as much as anyone else and spare me the "Parcells is a genuis for making this kid" nonsense.

Kulish, digging up the old thread : sufibb : 11/23/06 10:50 PM
I like that, but for real I am very concerned about how well this guy is playing. i do not like this and he may be the best in the league RIGHT NOW. that just makes me sick

Anyone... : Eric from BBI : 11/23/06 11:07 PM
not impressed with Romo is deluding themselves. The guy in incredibly accurate. It's amazing.

Exactly! It's nice to know that the most talked about QB in New York is Tony Romo. Now New York and Indianapolis finally have something in common!

I hope Tony can make the Giants fans realize just how good he can be.

His debut vs. NY wasn't so good, but he's come a long way.

Oh, and for any Giant fans thinking Tony will have problems in the cold, windy Giants stadium on Dec. 3, remember this....... Tony grew up playing football in Burlington, WI on a cold, windy field. He played college ball on a cold, windy field for Eastern Illinois. And he broke records and collected awards playing in these cold, windy conditions.

That stuff on the NY giants forums is great. They are scared. Some admit it, and some won't. One guy even asks if Romo rides a motorcycle (hoping he will pull a Ben Roethlisberger). A few others hope that Jessica Simpson will ruin his ability to play. It is hilarious.

But what does any of that say about his ability to play in cold and windy conditions? ;)

Couldn't you just envision Eli and Peyton gathered around the dinner table both flailing their arms and neck every time Romo made a nice downfield throw this afternoon?

The mere vision is priceless.

Lmao and to think the Cowboys didn't spend a first round pick on Romo, which is great because they can give him a pretty hefty contract in the near future!

:lmao2: :lmao: That was great Dale! Peyton frowning and slowly shaking his head back and forth, knowing that he got owned. Archie looking worriedly at Eli who sits there after having damned near choked on a mouthful of turkey after Tony's 5th td pass and looking all the world like he's scheduled to have a vasectomy on 12/3 and is worried as heck about it.

Oh, to have been a fly on the wall...

Last I checked Romo has a 1-0 record against the almighty Peyton. :laugh2:

If anyone listened to the post game interview of Romo by Sham then it'd tell them a lot about Romo and how he prepares for games and what he learned after the 2nd half of the Gints game ended.

It's really quite insightful.
