Note: I'm well aware that all NFL games are hard to win. I'm not saying the other 12 are easy games. But I think these 4 will be the hardest.

  • Giants at Cowboys. Oddly enough, the Cowboys are 0-4 against the Giants at home at Cowboys Stadium, but 2-1 on the road against them at MetLife Stadium.
  • Broncos at Cowboys. Peyton Manning and Wes Welker against the Cowboys' pass defense.
  • Cowboys at Commanders. After Giants @ Cowboys, this would be seemingly the next most difficult NFC East game to win.
  • Packers at Cowboys. Aaron Rodgers against the Cowboys' pass defense.

Let's try last few years... Indications are every game is going to be difficult. They are not in position to overlook anyone. As a matter of fact teams are probably writing the Dallas far as w's as we're writing Bout them.

Considering that Cowboys vs. Commanders is one of the four games that I listed above as being the most difficult, where did you get that from?

Teams change from season to season. What happened in the past has no bearing on what will happen this season.

You think RG3 and his little college game plans are going to work like they did last year?

Was thinking the same thing as I was reading other similar threads who had us sweeping skins. The skins whipped us twice and the bears clowned us. The saints are going to be storming back with brees/peyton.
The Vikes also had a good ending to last season and looked respectable. Hope the Lions are falling apart by mid season but they are young and talented.
We have to win the "easy" ones (Chiefs/Raiders), at least split with the conference foes and hope the ball bounces in our direction the rest of the way.
We certainly can't complain about the schedule overall. We have no real home field advantage, we just have to stay healthy and perhaps we squeeze into the playoffs.

Cowboys just need to treat every game as important, and be ready to go no matter who they face.

What upgrades has Dallas added this offseason to put them ahead of the Commanders? The Commanders were a bad matchup last season for Dallas. Nothing has really changed.

Well, for one, this offseason is not over.

And if you think NOTHING has changed? What about all the new coaches? What about the switch to the 4-3? What about the upcoming draft?

The only thing that has not changed is your mind that everything is the same as last year.

You're assuming that when two teams with largely unchanged rosters play each other, that the results will be the same. That is hardly the case.

Look at the 2003 season. The Bills routed the Patriots 31-0 in the season opener. Then later on in the season, the Patriots routed the Bills by the exact same score, 31-0.

Did the Patriots sign free agents? Sign a lot of new players? Did the Bills lose a lot of players? No, that's not really the thing - the point is that, at any given moment, two teams can play a rematch and have a vastly different outcome than the first time.

They have run variations of the 4-3 when Ryan was DC with the same players. The only thing that will bring any change is the draft. Just how much of an impact do you think a rookie is going to make?
