The AFC's so called dominance

Is it over? I know there are still formidable teams in the AFC ( Jaguars, Steelers, Chargers). But will the media and especially the fans stop saying that the NFC is the JV league now? Seems like the NFC caught up and caught up in a hurry.

Both Chicago and Dallas physically whooped two playoff contending AFC teams.

Dude its over.

None of the teams are impressive.

Jags looked like crap today. Gave up 7 sacks

Colts decimated by injuries and lets face it. They are getting old.

Pats defense is washed up and old. Brady is done for the year

San Diego is overrated. Phillip Rivers has not turned the corner to be a QB people gameplan for. Their defense hasn't been elite since Wade left

Don't forget Carolina beat the Chargers.

Surely did forget that.
Not to mention that there are some pretty good teams in the NFC that's getting better with Carolina being one of them. Philly and New Orleans and now Chicago being another.

You know, I said all offseason Philadelphia was going to be a key player. Granted, running over the Rams is nothing worth bragging about. But, they didn't roll over. They didn't struggle. It's a start.

The Bears looked good tonight. They have to have more from their offense, though.

Brady going down is a huge shift in power, too.

It's quite simple...

Pats-their D is old, and their OL stinks(Brady getting hurt was only a matter of when, as much as I hate to admit it).

Colts-that entire team is getting old, and since they won that Super Bowl over a year ago, Dungy seems to have lost his passion.

Jags-they spend TOO much in FA...they seem content in rolling the dice more often than not, and it's hurting them.

Chargers-their coach BLOWS.

Broncs-Shanahan's bad FA moves are starting to cripple this team.

Titans-Young is hugely overrated.

Browns-they're the new Commanders. Mortgaging their future to get former Pro Bowlers.

Ravens-defense got old, and can no longer cover up their QB deficiencies.

Steelers-Coyz' boys are all but gone now.

Kyle Orton didn't look bad at all. He's no Brady or Manning, but he manages the game very well. And that Bears' D looks to be back in top form from '06.

I agree about the Eagles-what I find scary about them is they play their best ball when they're under the radar. That D is not only talented, but pretty young and frisky to boot(which is why I'm not looking forward to playing them next week). And McNabb is healthy again.

As for the Pats-they weren't GREAT last year. They had OL issues last year, and it seemed to continue going into this season.

I think the 3 best teams in the NFL are in our division.

I saw this brought up in other forums. The old regime looks done (Colts, Pats) and the younger teams are looking alot better...specifically Dallas and Pittsburgh.

EDIT. Sadly for the Colts, looks like they will not get more than that one SB out of Manning and Harrison...should have had several.

It's over. Pittsburgh looks like the best of the AFC after week one, and I'd say that Dallas, Philly, NYG, and maybe New Orleans is better.

You have to think we'll be at the top of every power ranking this week.

It was nice to see Carolina win it at the end considering the Eagles get their 1st round pick in the next draft.

pretty much on.

Jets might come out as the best team in the AFC when all is said and done (if they can overcome mangini's brutal gameday coaching).

The best & most balanced teams are in the NFC

Dallas, Philly, NO, Giants, etc.

I know we don't want our guys eating the cheese, but that is going to feel great.

The Dallas Cowboys. The best team in the league....

Based on week 1, I think we are the best in the league if we stay healthy and improve on D. But right now there is not a team in the league that we could not beat by several scores. Watching our o-line give Romo a century to throw and open up lanes like moses parting the red sea gives me that SB feeling about this team.

Rivers was pretty good Sunday. He led his team back and put them in the lead.

The defense failed the Chargers.

Oh, and with the Giants victory over the Patriots in the Super Bowl, the AFC's so-called dominance officially ended.

Ted Cottrell BLOWS. When he was hired last year, he was already getting his NFL pension checks. The only reason why he looked good in Buffalo was b/c Wade was running the show.
