I just watched a couple OL prospects (Gabe Jackson, Ja'Wuan James) and CJ Mosley and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix just repeatedly jump off the screen. These guys are absolute upper tier studs at positions of need for this team. Kills me that there is little to no talk of either being possibilities at this point. Mosley with the multitude of injury issues (a knee in particular) and Clinton-Dix I assume because we don't value a S that high with the investment in Wilcox and Heath.

These two players are far better than some other options being kicked around at 16 IMO. Ah well... as of now it looks like Barr and Donald are the ideal scenarios, with Martin and Ealy as the "fallback" options. I would at least like if the Bama boys came before the fallbacks on the board.

HaHa Clinton Dix & CJ Mosely could really help Dallas at their respected positions & I would love to have either one at the 16 pick. I've watched every Bama game possible this year and these two guys are about the only ones I would touch on that defense that is coming out this year. Also would take a chance with Jeff Pagan as well.

Alot of people don't talk about these two because both players will either be gone by the time pick 16 comes up or many has labeled Bama players bust coming out of college and do not want as a result.

Completely agree with him as a better prospect than Barron. He's a better overall cover guy and I think has more athletic burst to close. Same great length as well. He's certainly on that Barron/Vaccaro level of recent highly selected S's, and would be a MAJOR help to our secondary.

In the minority on this one, but yeah, I like Clinton-Dix at 16 too. Definitely a better prospect than Barron. Mosley I don't want due to the injuries.

Though my favourite safety is Ward, he could be had with a trade down.

I think Ha Ha will likely be gone (no guaranty though), but most people, including me, expect Mosley to be available when we're up. These reasons for the lack of interest seems to be injuries (Mosley) and a desire to give Wilcox a shot (HHCD). I understand both objections, but just wish it were different because these cats can really play.

Alabama boys most likely on Peds. Alabama has a high rate of busts recently. Great in college, often injured and or Suck without their "medicine" in the NFL. Hopefully Jerry stays away.

It is notable that from great teams you often get a lot of busts in the NFL. Look at those great USC teams from the middle 2000's- how many of them actually are stars in the NFL?

Reinart? Bush? etc. They are no where near the level in the NFL they were in college.

I would rather have Pryor than him... Calvin is a man who hits with bad intentions! We need some of that on our defense.

What we need is a guy who can cover and knows how to be in position. If we ever actually get a guy like that we will be amazed at how much better the entire defense is. Until then we will continue to cross our fingers and hope 1 or the small school projects actually pans out.

Wouldn't Mosley play the Mike? Where would Lee play?

As for HHCD, he's a very good player. I guess it would depend on who's there and what the trade options are. If we took a Safety in the 1st round, he better be a total ball hawking stud to fit this scheme. I'm not sure he's that guy.

Ward is a tweener as far as the Cowboys draft goes....not worth the 16 and gone before 47....the only way I see us have a chance at him is a trade down in to late first, early second. I think he fits well as the free safety but he is smallish for a pro S...might be an injury concern there.

For me if Donald and Barr are gone then trade back with
1.)Shazier
2.) Ward
2.)Martin/Hageman/Easley/Chrichton
3.)Turner
then picking up some guys like Reid/Sutton/Jeffcoat in the fourth......that would be my ideal draft anyway
