Maybe he should focus on getting better and playing better and helping the team win a game instead of checking his Twitter and getting his feelings hurt when fans are mad that he cost the team a chance to win the game and pretty much ended our season. Also his wife seems like a real gem..

Can't take the heat Cole Beasley? Then play better and don't act like a baby when you play like crap

As Beasley would probably say, y'all keep watching from the couch.

Any idiot who goes after a player or a player's family anonymously over the Internet deserves whatever embarrassment they earned. It's pure childishness. And going after a man's wife and kid from behind a screen name is cowardly. Eating genitalia is too good for them. Can't imagine why you'd defend it.

Beasley better get his game up. Cowboys fans dont forget stuff like what he pulled Sunday. A couple more screws up and he will be shown the door.

I already forgot it.

He's not going anywhere. He's a valuable player on this offense. You'll be cheering him again, soon enough.

Maybe fans should, you know, put into perspective football is just entertainment. He wasn't checking his Twitter during the game, now was he? Players are allowed to have a Twitter account, fans don't control that. Fans do control what they do and don't say, so if you're going to criticize, actually be somewhat constructive.

And someone randomly tagged his wife in a tweet and she went off about it. Anyone defending the stupidity spewed by fans on Twitter are most likely part of the lynch mob. Again, grow up. Maybe take Beasley and his wife's advice.

You are telling him to grow thicker skin when fans are mad and hating him over a football game? He, along with nearly everyone on the internet, should let idiotic comments not get to them. That doesn't justify some of the things said towards football players/celebrities on a day to day basis.

But anyone telling a player to get thicker skin while trying to justify fans acting like grumpy children over a game is hilarious to me. The fact you couldn't see that is very telling.

With his job comes criticism. The criticism is too much for the beas to handle apparently. Yes it's a game. A game he is paid quite handsomely to play. And is expected to play well. His salary comes from fans who pay their hard earned money to support his job. So fans have a right to criticize when he doesn't perform and falls flat on his face. Part of his job is to be able to handle that criticism and not get himself and his trashy wife into social media throw downs with fans by using homophobic slurs towards fans who pay for their way of life

There's criticism, and then there is borderline harassment or pure vitriol. Which was Beasley and most of the people in this thread discussing? No one said you can't criticize a player. Try to understand what is being discussed here.

And HE is getting paid to play the game, not you, not me. This is entertainment for us, that is all. If you are so frustrated that you go directly to a players Twitter page to put them down/troll them, you have issues to deal with in your personal life.

Always good times watching athletes (and family) being drawn offsides on social media. Absolutely no upside in this exchange for the athlete, and some of them fail to recognize this.

When you are a public figure and especially a sports one, you have to expect this on social media. You want to interact with the fans? Best of luck with that, people are animals and this shouldn't surprise you. Seriously, if you're Beasley all offseason you witness Dez's tweets grab headlines, this reaction should come as no surprise.

If these pro athletes have proven one thing with the advent of social media, it's this, they are everyday run of the mill idiots just like the rest of us.

Then stop buying merchandise and tickets and watching them on TV. Find another hobby.

Better yet, if you live in a glass house, be cautious about tossing stones.

Excuses for Beasley are comical. Tony has been on Twitter for what a year now? The guy gets hammered on a weekly basis even when it's clearly not his fault when Dallas loses a game. You see him whining about critics? No he brushes it off like a professional athlete should. It comes with the territory especially with playing for the marquee franchise in sports. You can either deal with or be mentally fragile and let it affect you in a negative way.

Ugh. Stupidity all around.
1. Fans going on twitter to bash them.
2. The Beaselys degrading themselves and stooping to that level.

This.

Mistakes happen; no apologies are necessary unless you intentionally made it. Just do your job and shut up.
