The NFL has the Cheatriots and their Dynasty being completely questioned

The NBA had the referee scandal

MLB has the steroids scandal

This has to be one of the darkest time to be a Sports fan......talk about a huge hit to the integrity and legitimacy of all 3 leagues.


IMO, NASCAR is also tainted.......Dale Jr. loses points for saying 1 cuss word in a post race interview, when emotions are high and he was mad at himself for something stupid he did on the track.....yet countless teams are caught cheating with their cars, using better gas, raising spoilers, using different intakes and so forth....and no points losses or suspensions.

Add to that the mess that Boxing has become over the last 15 years as well as the general disinterest in the NHL (actually the most upstanding league out there right now)......

and Pro Sports in America have become a travishamockery

yeah it's a shame. but i'm gonna keep watching hoping my teams have nothing to do with all of this crap.

I think it pretty much mirrors our morality in this country today. Character, integrity, honor, honesty don't really mean much to alot of people in this nation anymore especially when money is at stake.

When I read your thread title I thought you were posting a story about Aikman, Emmitt and Michael being on steriods.

The only reason that Succor is the worlds most "popular sport" is because most of the world is turd world, and all you need to play succer is a foot and a coconut.

And, please..........don't EVER come around and spin that Little "E" is some "victim" of a NASCAR conspiracy "out to get him". NEVER in the history of NASCAR has ANY DRIVER been so promoted, coddled and baby-sat as much as Dale Earnhardt Jr. Him and all his 17 wins..................Everything about NASCAR and the TV coverage of NASCAR is directly and purposely pointed toward pushing Earnhardt Jr. to the front, no matter where he finishes in a race. Ever been to a race? Ever see at least HALF the stands filled with the color red and Budweiser folks? Ever see the disgracefull throwing of Bud cans and bottles after any race his fans think he should've won? Are you watching how the rule's change every year to accommodate WHERE Jr. finished the prior year????

i currently live in nascar country and i never have nor ever will watch it. i mean, what the hell? who wants to watch cars make 180 rounds around a track? and the only excitement is a tragedy when a car crashes. no thanks

Every race, every track, every car, every set-up..........different every weekend. Weather, banking, shocks, spring rubbers, tires, etc, etc, etc............
Just like the NFL. Every week poses a different race and a different set up, challenge and approach. I'm not trying to convince you to give NASCAR a try. DO us all a favor.....don't bother. We don't need you. Stay home or watch Judge Judy instead. Who cares?
But don't diss something you know NOTHING about.................

Aside from the fact that racers and football players wear helmets, nothing about nascar is like the nfl.

Ill admit, I've never taken the time to watch Nascar. Have no interest really. Then again, I've never really taken to too many hobbies. Bird watching, chess and Live-Action-Role-Playing have never really peaked my interest either so its not like Nascar is alone.

Nascar is as much a sport as chess is. And it's less of a sport than cheerleading.

Our media and Hollywood have derided and showed contempt for morality, honesty, integrity, courage and patriotism for more then 30 years. Why should anyone be suprised at the result.

Tainted or not, I'll always watch my Cowboys and Redsox play. I don't give a damn about the NBA anymore. I've tried, especially since my childhood team (Celtics) are once again a team to beat, but it just isn't happening.

I rely heavily on hockey to get me through this time of the year. Thankfully, my Capitals are starting to come on. The NHL is a terrific league, and its a shame it doesn't have the support that the "big three" does.
