These last 2 games he was under alot of pressure, the ball on 4th and 4 if given just a second more he could have stepped into the throw but why was cd running a long *** route when he only needed 4 yards plus the db was playing way off

So theoretically if the quarterback doesn't make proper pre snap reads and adjust blocking appropriately, or if he locks on to one read and therefore is late getting the ball out because he's not getting through his reads, the offensive line should still be expected to block his guy and make sure nobody gets pressure on the quarterback?
