The Bill Cowher for Cowboys HC thread

I was for keeping the staff together, but now I realize I was wrong and would like to join the movement.

same here. and i'm glad the cowboys lost the way they did. if they had lost by 1 point or something in the end, then you start questioning other things.

but wade did not prepare this team adequately and it is embarrassing. its time to go a different direction

He has already said Dallas needs to get rid of Owens....

Thats all I need to know about him, he would get rid of the best offensive player we have.

that would be his first smart move if he were hired here......

I'd rather have Holmgren, Cower had a lot of bad seasons as well as those 2 SB seasons Holmgren teams have for the most part been consistently good

BUT.... he will have a team that is prepared EVERY week.
At this point I will take EVERY crumb I can get.

I'd be thrilled but they said this morning that Cowher has been quoted as saying that he's not mentally ready to return to coaching and doesn't see a situation that would change his mind on that before the 2010 season.

the time is now for Jerry to bring a coach in that will actually do something with the talent we have. We need somebody that can actually control this team. We need a true winner. The man we need is Bill Cowher.

it took cowher 9 years to win the superbowl. you won't give wade 2. it doesn't matter who we hire (if we hire anyone) if they don't instantly win you'll jump to the next fad coach.

it's bad enough we had a terrible season. let's not become the Commanders to boot.

think of how much talent we have on this team. We didn't make the playoffs. We hired a guy who has never won a playoff game. We need a guy that is going to have us organized and ready to play. Cowher can do that. Phillips can't.

holmgren is wade lite in regard to being a non-disciplinarian that will pander to jerry.

but he did .........

1) keep his team in contention every year

2) went to 2 Sbs

3) never let his team become an embarrassment

4) pay attention to details

5) hold players accountable

I'd rather take preparation and attention to detail over these mental debacles of late.

Sign me up for Cowher. He probably wouldn't be my first choice, but he might just be the answer we need.

did yall not watch when Wade tried to send the kicking team in, and Romo decided to stay in there and completely ignored Wade and just took the snap on 4th down. That shows you that Wade has no control of these guys. It is just rediculous. Cowher will take you out of the game if you make a mistake, it teaches you a lesson.
