I blame the zoners for hyping up how incredible Bailey is and sending bad mojo to his efforts.
Has anyone pointed out the responsible parties or broken those plays down?
I didn't know our special teams unit was terrible. But last week and the blocked field goal were tragedies though. I don't consider it a weak unit though. To consider it a weak unit is like considering our run game weak because of the fumbles.
Yes. The LB that was originally with Seattle and that is now gone was the 1st one. Hanna lined up too tight to the formation last week, which seems like a coaching issue more than the player's fault. This one against the Jags (if it was really blocked) was due to Free and Tyron letting a guy split the gap between them.
Its gonna cost them a reality W if this nonsense keeps up.
heh, not long ago gifs were a-flyin. highest rated % kicker of all time.
now we have nonsense to clean up.
far too many people take the last thing they saw to be a problem, not just step along the way.
Basically a correctable issue or just a mental mistake. Nobody was over powered or anything. But what about the other blocked FG?
puntingYou seen Harris return a ball this year kick or punt? ST is weak, Bailey is the lone bright spot.
punting
harris is 11th in avg
9th in yards
kick returns
10th in avg
8th in yards
Bailey and the terrible ST unit are mutually exclusive at this point. In all honesty, I would have told Rich we'd no longer be needing his services after this last game.
How many ST blunders so far this season? Multiple fumbles, blocks, poor returns. Outside of Bailey i'd be surprised if we didn't lead the league in ST blocks/TO's. In a game of inches you can't have it.
so then go look it up and see where we rank and KNOW your stance. don't pull numbers out of various holes in your body and go "look, fact!
i think!"
when i have questions, i usually go look up my own answers. something as big and useful as the internet and people still are too lazy to do their own homework.
i imagine. i have no stats to back that up.
Haha, okay bro. I obviously never said it was fact, that's what "I'd be surprised if..." meant.
And if you can find the stats for special teams blocks/TO's, then feel free to enlighten me because I couldn't find it.
3 blocks and what, 3 fumbles? How many ST units are on that level right now? I'd wager not many.
But you're so awesome at the internet, I'll be looking forward to your stat source on the subject.

Stats don't tell the entire story.

that is true but they do show that harris is still in the top 10 as a returner and the only player in the top 10 at both kick and punt returns
If you read my post you would see nowhere did i specify the kicker as a problem. And if you think the special teams UNIT hasnt been a weakness then i do not know what to tell you.
We've had a punt blocked for a TD and 2 FGs blocked. That's bad.
