No this is not an Zeke thread......

The Giants and Commanders will be our biggest threats to the playoffs this coming season.
As much as it hurts to admit it Josh Norman played really well against Dez last year and even though Dez was not 100% I believe Norman has shown enough to feel confident that he can hold Dez down enough that a double team wont be required.

The Giants spent a lot of money this offseason improving their pass rush AND signing a really good one on one corner in Janoris Jenkins... Like the Commanders we will not have an easy time on offense if we stay the way we are now.

I believe its very important to get a real threat to take over for T Williams. He will be a free agent after this year.,...but more importantly he has not been good enough to count on. Especially if a guy like Norman is locked up with Dez on the other side of the field.

Thinking of how we will match up against both the Skins and Giants defense with their additions of a franchise corner is concerning. Now I am operating under the assumption that we have the same level of running game as last year.....(still not a sneaky Zeke thread). I know there are rumors of us moving up into the first round possibly. If that's the case I sure hope we can find a strong WR to help Tony and company.

Your Thoughts?

Think our running game will be much better with Morris who is built for our scheme and a actual threat @ QB.

I also have guarded hopes for Butler taking the next step.

But I would not mind taking a flier on a WR after the 4th round.

After the 4th round may open us up to Devin Street level of receivers.

Any concerns with people saying Morris had a bad year in Washington last year because they switched to a blocking scheme that is extremely close to ours.
Do you feel that McFadden and Morris combo will be enough to allow our offense to function when Dez is being taken out of the game?

I am hoping for Treadwell btw....slow 40 and all. :)

Sure. I don't think even our staff is going to say WR isn't on the table. I doubt we grab on in the first two rounds, they'll see who is there in the third.

Morris's bad year was due to splitting carries with the rook and a pretty bad oline. The Skins wonder rookie had less of a YPC average then Morris last year.

Morris is a 1,500 yard back again behind this line.

We have looked at Boyd and Shepard, both excellent route runners who can play in the slot and outside. I would be thrilled if we can either one at 67.
