Would be emailing a picture of the Lombardi trophy to that snake Kyle Orton, who I gleefully watched get an early vacation from the lowly Oakland Raiders yesterday. Of all the reasons winning it all would be great, the schadenfreude of knowing that fart-in-an-elevator Orton won't have a ring is *way* up high...

Some guys are happy being a starter and getting paid, than being back up on a championship team. I am glad the NFL is not like MLB, where if you are on the roster you get ring even if you do not do anything to contribute.

Orton is probably happy he doesn't have to worry about bothersome playoff games. He can cash his check and hit the sauce for a few months.

He likely made more money and played more in buffalo. I think he is okay not being here

I can't get this whole "Let's stick it to Kyle Orton" sentiment. It's not like he was Emmitt Smith or some player we really needed for a successful run. He was a bit player at best.

Some people are wasting too much energy on Orton.

The issue is that he is a liar and cheater. He signed the contract and then wouldn't show up pretending that he wanted to retire.

The honorable thing would have been to come to an agreement with the FO wherein he repaid the prorated portion of his signing bonus and then was granted his freedom to pursue another contract where he had the opportunity to start.

I have no problem with that at all, but that's not the line we got - I would have been happy to trade him for a 7th round pick to a team needing a QB, instead we got the BS hem and haw about retiring. My posts back when this was happening all indicated we should trade him to a team where he can start because I thought he was a decent caliber QB. But he ran his nonsense line about retiring and then was a gutless no show, not because he though we were denying him a shot at starting, but because he's a punk. I don't like dishonesty and there are fewer forthright situations I've encountered in football than Orton.

Which is all the more insulting - clown was too good to be here, to live up to his contract, and frankly to be honest about wanting to play elsewhere.

Buffalo just did.

orton was a female hygene product that is gone and I've moved on. he went to buffalo where I simply can't picture a more karma-benefitting place for him to be. I hope he's happy, I don't care if he wins or loses, and I don't care he "used" to be a cowboy.

"used" to be. his call.

I've moved on.

Meh...it sucked how he pulled the whole I want to retire bull in order to get out of here and it sucked we let him do it so he still got paid...but I have move on.

Same with ratliff...that whole thing sucked but I have moved on.

If I still have any ill will about those situations it would be towards the NFL for letting that kind of thing be allowed in the first place.

Guys like him and Rat hopefully will be at home crying in their Wheaties, or Vodka in Orton's place if Dallas Gets to the SB. I find it fitting that Rat is doing his schtick in Chicago and they are having the same issues we had here.

But, Eskimo, that's a separate issue than "sticking it to him because we got to the playoffs."
If Orton didn't want to be here, then, OBVIOUSLY he didn't care enough to be here for a playoff run.

So what difference would it make emailing him a picture of the Lombardi Trophy, should the Cowboys win? He'd probably laugh at the sender for being so obsessed with him.

Moreover, if you're upset, blame the Cowboys. They didn't have to release him, and they could have sued Orton and recouped their money. But they did not.
I say just let it go. Honorable or not, Orton found a way to stick it to the Cowboys. Let's not think that organizations haven't stuck it to players before. It's over and done with. It's time to move on.

I agree. Fans take some of this stuff way more seriously than the players. It's just a job to many players and while winning is nice, its secondary to the money or other factors. Heck, Ratliff is probably happy he doesn't have to worry about playoff games and the wear and tear on his body. Probably the only player upset about not being with the Cowboys for this run is Ware. Not that he isn't on a team with a chance to win the Super Bowl, but I would like to think he would have wanted to finish the job with the Cowboys.
