The Cowboys are $54M over the cap?

Harbaugh - Chargers, with their QB signed, will have 101 million for next year. Took the job with a horrendous cap situation, winning despite all the dead money and on their 4th and 5th OTs

McVay - Rams, everyone knows the cap hole they dug/are digging out of, 80 million next year.

Payton - Broncos, shedding all that crazy dead money for Wilson, No.1 seed in the AFC with a 2nd year QB, 40 million next year.

It's amazing what can be done with the right people.

Did I miss something??????? What happened to the savings from NOT signing Micah????

few restructures and bam we have 40M space....its typical...because money keeps getting pushed to the future.

I think just dumping digs will save 10M....
cap will go up by 15M and that's 25M already.

rework a couple of contracts and viola

This. Not a big deal. Plus the cap will go up,so there's even more money to use.

this makes it seem that we have 50 million of cap space not UNDER because do we really think that Washington and those other teams at the top are under being how bad they are?

yeah like man "damn all we want to be is better, why are we so cheap, damn we're cheap, only REAL fans are happy about us NOT trying to better our team!"
To me it is not about being cheap. All teams work with the same amount.
And if they are really that cheap, why is there always cap issues.
If cheap, they should be under the cap by the allowable margin every year.

So it is not being cheap. It is they do not know how to manage it well. That is the biggest issue.

I think dumping Steele frees another 15 mil on top of that

Are you not part of this border maybe you don't realize the trade for Quinn and Williams put another $20 million on our books we also brought in Wilson I don't know what his contract looks like...

But I guarantee they will find a way to be under the cap next year easily All teams have to eventually do this They will restructure they will make June first cuts and they will be under the cap no problem everyone worried about now what we need to worry about in March is getting way ahead of yourselves..

To manage it, they don't like to spend or make attempts to go after a guy that could maybe help them get over the hill

Don't pay any attention, they have the ability to create over 100 million in space.
Yeah it's if he's new around here I don't understand why people are worried about the cap We'll deal with that in March that's what I said I don't like why are you looking at the cap right now and you know every year we've seen teams like the Rams and the Eagles look like they had no cap space and all of a sudden they had more cap space than anybody else...

But this is also the reason and this is the wrong place for it but I'll say this again they have to give serious consideration to first round tendering on A tag the franchise tag George Pickens they will save $30 million or more Plus they'll have more draft capital to spend to replace the receiver under a rookie deal and that saves them a ton of money next year that allegedly they may not even have..

But I do get it there's lots of players that are gonna be June 1st cuts restructures flat cut off the team This is why you know as ownership groups for sports teams have to go through this they have a army of capologists and contract experts this is not just Jerry sitting there with his checkbook behind his desk I don't think people realize how much work goes into it and how many people are involved and getting it done it's not Jerry and Steven sitting there trying to balance their checkbooks...
