for TO to throw the team under the bus. I know ESPN is going to take many of his comments from his Sunday discussion with Irvin & blow them totally out of perspective. However, why does Owens NEED to bring up things that happened in the past with the team and/or press? He runs the entire list of problems HE created, then puts the entire blame on whoever gave out the fine amount he sustained from being late for a meeting! He even hints that there is some sort of conspiracy against him. Of course, he is SO hurt because it's like family giving away a secret to the media. Now, I know that ESPN brought this guy in so they can have some juicy stuff to stretch & expand into a tidal wave, but does he have to give it to them? Of course he does. His ego can't help itself.

This guy cannot stand the fact that Romo is getting more press than he is, so he uses the only thing he can-his age old method of operation.....attack someone on his own team. He doesn't even know who leaked the info, but that doesn't matter. Jerry Jones promised to fire the leakee as soon as he found out who it was, but no matter. The Cowboys are in a stretch run to the Super Bowl, but what does that have to do with anything?

I pray that Owens helps us win this year's SB, then is traded, or creates one of his patented "Poor TO is getting screwed" rantings, and JJ fires his a**!

I have learned some things from Bill Parcells.

All of what you mentioned = "Periferal issues" that dont affect the game. I am good.

Some of your post spews of TO hate. You are like the media "creating" things now

So far I'm glad TO's on our team and I'm sick of the Enquirer style shock journalism that seems to follow him. Hopefully sports reporters will get back to reporting sports.

ESPN taped an interview that Playmaker did with TO for Sunday NFL Countdown. They are playing bits of it to spike interest in the entire interview on Sunday morning. In the interview, TO brings up all of the stuff about him that the media blew out of proportion:
  • His hammy injury.
  • His reported rift with Bill.
  • His alleged suicide attempt.
  • Him being late for a meeting.
  • Him being fined for being late for a meeting.
  • The amount of the fine being leaked to the media.
He then goes on about the latter, complaining that the amount of the fine should not have been leaked to the media. He insinuates that his football family, (the Cowboys), hurt him by telling a secret to the media. He fails to mention that JJ held a PC just to warn that anyone giving inside info about any player would be fired, and if he finds out who leaked the Owens info, he would fire them.

ESPN is obviously using this to create a problem between Owens & the Cowboys. My problem is that Owens doesn't have any business giving them the ammo to use against him. He just can't stand it when someone on the team is getting more press than he is, so he goes on national TV & runs his mouth. He just needs to shutup & play. Irvin even asked him why he feels the need to go on national TV when he knows he can't control himself....or something to that effect.

Just watch ESPN Sunday Morning Countdown & judge for yourself.

This is ESPN's way of trying to distract the Cowboys and hoping they can stir the locker room up. They are using their platform to disturb the Cowboys mentally. They use Irvin to do the interview. It's all an agenda. You know T.O. will say something he shouldn't. Then it gets magnified. The media has tried all year to bring a season ending story to the Boys. ESPN wants to see the Giants win the Division. We are winning with all this T.O. drama! This is ESPN's last ditch effort to throw a cog in the engine. Cowboy fans don't sweat this story. We are 8-4 and things are looking good!

We win. No matter what.

But I do have to question Irvin's part. Why go there?

ESPN fault? What did they put a gun to TO head and tell him he has to do this interview? Why is it that TO can't just say no thanks I know you guys will slam me afterwards? Unless the media outlets are forcing TO to talk then the only person I blame for being stupid it TO he has a choice but can't help himself so why get upset with the media, TO does this himself.

And this isnt a wasted thread?
another T.O Topic

Then why are you wasting your precious time to respond to it? Another Owens apologist I suspect. We don't need the one player who can't control his mouth going on ESPN & starting crap. If he is so unhappy, then he can just return his signing bonus & clean out his locker. If not, shut up and play.

If Owens knows he will say something he shouldn't, then he needs to stay off of ESPN! That is ALL I'm trying to say. We are 8-4 and things are looking good, so we don't need one of our key players throwing a wrench in the works.

ESPN is based in New York. The executives, producers, writers live in New York. They come up with interviews, stories etc. T.O. will never shy away from the camera. After Sunday Night this whole story will be forgotten. It's an attempt for the team not to focus on the game.

Stupid people are free to screw themselfs over but don't blame the media they are not forcing him to do anything. He stands up by himself and creates this himself. Come on ask youself if you knew that the media would take what your saying and use it aginst you would you still do it? The media knows TO can't help himself and is going to say things that will come off in a bad way he always does.

dooms, i'm not gonna say that he was forced, i know he is just like any one else, speaks before he thinks then regrets it. If i was a high profile player like Terrell or any super star in the nfl i wouldn't talk to the media.

people say you don't like his mouth now...what if he had a Mike Tyson mouth?

Hey Parcells just said T.O. is sucking you guys into a his little game and consider yourselves sucked talking to the media. Nobody takes what he says serious as ESPN wants them to take it. Don't take the cheese from ESPN.

I'm just saying why blame the media when TO has control over what he says and what interviews he will or will not do? It is like blaming the booze for the drunk driver, the booze did not do it the idiot who drank to much is the problem. :lmao2: Everyone knows that TO mouth has lead to most of his problems no matter what team he has played on and yet he continues. That in my book is just flat out stupidity.

We also don't need one of our key players going on ESPN & playing mind games with the media/public. This player got into way too much trouble doing it before, so he should know better. He even promised his new employer that he had changed and learned his lesson. If you can't depend on what the guy says, then he shouldn't be on the team. We have enough talent to get to the SB without him.
