The Cowboys are on TV and all is right with the world...

A few years back, the local Shreveport Fox affiliate was sold. The group that bought them, figured folks in Louisiana would want to see the Saints... ummm... no...

After calling and complaining, the guy at the station told me there was an onslaught of nasty calls when the Saints pre-empted the Cowboys...

I was born in Texas, but raised in Bossier City. The locals around there LOVE the Saints... just as long as they don't interfere with them rooting for the Cowboys...

Last Novemeber I had a layover in Memphis on my way back to Shreveport. Shreveport mayor Cedric Glover was on the same flight. While waiting to board he saw my Dallas Cowboys shirt and spoke to me. He said he grew up wanting to play for the Cowboys (he is about 6'3" 350). He said although he loves the Saints, he is a Cowboy fan until he dies. I wonder if he can play left tackle...

The Saints play Carolina today... Jake Delhomme is from Southern Louisiana... no one will see that up here...

Bossier/Shreveport is so Cowboy crazy, there is actually a Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop in the mall...

The Saints aren't on TV here locally today. The Cowboys are... and all is right with the world...
